Alexis Sanchez

This confirms that Arsenal ARE open to selling Sanchez after all. Presumably this was a 'might-as-well' attempt to get the best deal possible. Or it was an effort to create confusion and unsettle Sterling.

In fairness to Arsenal, you cant blame them for trying. We all agree that for us the swap deal makes no financial sense. To them it will make no sense either, but they might as well chance their arm. If they feel that we are absolutely desperate for Sanchez, they might think we would be capable of madness.

This is such bullshit, the kind of thing you expect to hear from a rag not an actual football fan.

Guardiola created possibly the best club team in history. His reputation was cast in stone the day Barcelona won 14 trophies in 4 years.

Then he went to Bayern and broke every single record possible as Bayern manager, turning it into a 1 team league.

His successors have all, without fail, fallen short of what he accomplished, Barca only managing to match his achievements after spending £170m (back when that was serious money) on forwards either side of Messi, and even that was incredibly short lived.

Guardiola could never win a trophy again and he'll go down as one of the best club managers ever.

the only pressure he's under is the pressure he puts on himself to win everywhere he goes.

All that matters is that City win things.
If Pep can't deliver, he goes, no matter what he's achieved in the past.
We can judge him at the end of the season. That's only fair.
If there's no silverware and it looks like he isn't getting to grips with the job then we shouldn't hesitate to sack him.
His reputation and past achievements cannot protect him.
He brings a certain glamour to the club and he makes it easy to attract great players but he's not bigger than our club.

Whatever, he is supposed to be a serious journalist, reporting 'true' storys or at least decent rumours.

If Arse want Sterling, that's how he should have reported it.

He should have to explain why he has just bullshitted to loads of readers/listeners, but nobody will call him out on it, they will just give him opportunity to do it again & again.
Completely agree pal, I find it infinitely frustrating that these hacks are allowed to print whatever shite they like without repercussions. In this occasion though I get the feeling he may have been lead up the garden path a bit by his "source" at Aresnal.
It's a very big story out of nowhere to bring out without some confidence in its validity.
