This confirms that Arsenal ARE open to selling Sanchez after all. Presumably this was a 'might-as-well' attempt to get the best deal possible. Or it was an effort to create confusion and unsettle Sterling.

I don't think that was ever in doubt. Those in charge of Arsenal are businessmen they would not allow Wenger to let their most valuable asset leave the club on a free no matter how much Wenger sulked.

Personally think it's more to do with Aresnal using Cross to get their own agender out there.

Whatever, he is supposed to be a serious journalist, reporting 'true' stories or at least decent rumours.

If Arse want Sterling, that's how he should have reported it.

He should have to explain why he has just bullshitted to loads of readers/listeners, but nobody will call him out on it, they will just give him opportunity to do it again & again.
