If we didn't get him (and I would personally prefer giving a chance to someone lile Roberts, considering we now have seven top notch attackers for 4-5 positions)
I would rather he went ro Bayern

He would be useful to us, but much more of a game changer for say Chelsea or Manure, and would strengthen them massively.

We need to improve a lot, looking at our recent record against other top 5 teams.

My only slight concern would be despite their immense skill and technique, all of our forwards are still quite short (apart from Sané) and Bernardo & Sanchez if we signed him are too. Do we need a Dzeko type player as a plan B or C?

I'm not advocating 'putting it in the mixer on Crouch/Carroll's head', just a different attacking option some height would give us?

I agree, I just don't think Pep will go for one of those types, it would be great though. We see the difference Kompany has made, scoring a few goals from set pieces, something we really missed this season. I would be happy if we bring in another CB like him who can chip in with a few goals.

He gave an interview,in Spanish, for Arsenal TV a few weeks back in which he talked about his ambition to win titles (regularly) and the Champions League. The general consensus amongst Arsenal fans was that he was thus definitely not staying with them. When I heard it, my immediate thought was Bayern Munich. At his age, he would be almost assured league titles and a decent crack at the Champions League. With us, it would be more of a gamble, in that we're evidently building a team for the next 4-5 years, and Guardiola is always careful to stress that we need time to win the Champions League. There's also the question of whether he's had enough of English football and now fancies completing having played in the 'big four' leagues.
