It would be a joke if we gave arsenal any money on top of sterling (not that I believe that is a possiblity), straight swap considering their ages.
That option had to have been created on their end. There's no way we'd sign someone to strengthen the depth in our forward positions to just swap one of our best forward talents. That scenario is completely counterproductive to what we're trying to achieve with going after Sanchez in the first place. I bet Txiki and co. nearly pissed themselves laughing if Arsenal actually pitched that deal.

Sterling or Kun for Sanchez - bollocks. As good as Sanchez is lets keep some perspective on the click bait out there. Sterling for him adds further complications to our home grown status, not going to happen. Kun for him? We swap a regular 25+ goals a season player for a 15+ goals a season player, stupidity.

Am I the first to think the Evans link was purely to give us another makeweight in the Sanchez deal? So almost equating to a player swap if we step aside and let Arsenal sign Jonny Evans (pahaha) and we give a load of cash to get our man? A shrewd business strategy if ever there was one...

If we let Sterling go in a deal for Sanchez I'll be fuming.
Oh dear.... I'm sure Pep won't sleep tonight. For the record, Sterling received absolute dogs abuse, from the away end at Bournemouth, prior to his goal.

Fascinated as to why some "our supporters" on here, seem to have altered their opinions so radically in sò short a time.

Fuck me you are easily annoyed IMO - but obviously so are a lot of others on this thread.

How would they inform Sterling - probably a few words direct from the club to say ignore all this bollocks

I guess what you are really suggesting is that the club need to make a public statement to calm all the mard arses that we seem to have in the supporter base nowadays
What I'm saying is every media outlet has got hold of this and was running with it.
I'm sick of the scum British press printing hear say as fact and I'm sick of them targeting Sterling.
They have since had a message put out to the media which at the time of writing I was unaware of.

If your happy with the constant jabs from the press and constant silence from the club good for you. If caring about my club makes me 'mard' so be it.

At this point, I would prefer that we get greedy and go after Evans anyway. We still need backup at CB, CM, and LB after signing Sanchez and if Pep thinks he can make Evans work out, then we have no choice but to support his decision.

Probably because on the day he was fucking awful!

Icardi would be great but he's not capable of playing in the wide positions. He's a killer in front of goal though and would score bucketloads over here.

He'd essentially be Peps Lewa. Icardi does everything for Inter with scoring and playmaking, joy to see him play and is about to be the new Argentina starter.

I don't see that tactical point of letting Sterling go and bringing Sanchez in. It would be like robbing Peter to pay Paul. No net gain whatsoever.
