I love these guys who come badtalking tolmie or any ITK when they panic and think it's over. Before that they read everything as gospel and hope.

btw, tolmie can come too excited at times but if someone is not able to take that with pinch of salt, than there is only one stupid there.

I think Pep wants Sanchez because he's a top player.

I think the 'replacement for Aguero' etc stuff has purely come about by people on here making it up.

Agreed, but I'm dreading how the media will spin it if we don't land him. Every man and his dog seems to knows that Sanchez is Guardiola's prime target, so if it doesn't happen, then the usual suspects will surface and bang on about rifts behind the scenes and question marks hanging over everyone and everything.

I don't care tbh.

More worried about the effect us being randomly demonised for this that & the other, is having on referees.

I struggle to comprehend how Pep wanting to strength his goal scoring options includes (according to the media) us swapping Kun for Sanchez - that isn't strengthening, its standing still. .
But then the media are a pack of dickheads anyway.

Who is the backup to Sanchez if this falls through? Can't go into the season with only 4 forwards + Bernardo

We possibly can, IF Sterling & Sane contribute a decent number of goals. I think the drive to sign Sanchez has been largely driven by Sterling's relatively poor goalscoring record. If he can contribute 20+ PL goals then we should be ok. Hopefully the two very important goals that he's just scored will boost his confidence and he can start hitting the net on a regular basis.

But it doesn't seem, at this late stage, that there are any other options if we don't sign Sanchez.

Right.. quite a few pages since last looked. How's it looking? ..transfer request/bid today as expected? Or..!?

I think we're in a 'holding pattern'. Hopefully Sanchez puts in a proper transfer request today via his agent. The fact there's been no briefing out of Arsenal about him since Sunday speaks volumes.
