i dont believe we would just end our pursuit like that. there is literally no reason why city shouldn't go in for a 3rd bid especially with money to spare after the evans deal broke down.

We win either way. Getting Sanchez on a free next summer will keep Sergio happy for this season. It confirms that Wenger is the most narcissitic manager this country has ever seen. He has shafted his own club because of his ego. Sanchez made it clear he was leaving in June. Any sane organisation would have done their best to sell him to the highest bidder, perhaps Barcelona,but Wenger wanted to play games. I still believe we have had a brilliant summer in the market. We have two of the best fullbacks in Europe and the genius that is Bernardo. Can't wait for the Liverpool match.
