Until Arsenal formally reject our bid then of course it's possible.
Oh they'll have an unhappy player on their hands, but for all of a day or two as he's not going to "do a Tevez" during a World Cup year no matter how assured of a spot in the squad some will say he is.They'll exist but this fucks them more than it does us. Sanchez is going to be furious.
If you were a cynic and the deal gets done, you'd say it was their plan all along, ie; sell late - buy no one. Arsenal could have deliberately led us up the garden path or simply shut the door. They got caught out badly this week and did neither apart from upset the player. Ornstein and Cross were briefed to make them look appeasing to the fans, even they look silly.Dead right. Arsenal have been playing the game in public all along. It's only fair we follow suit. The icing on the cake would be for them to come squirming to us late in the day to accept the earlier offer. At that stage I'd seriously consider telling them we were now 'pursuing other options '.
maybe they did, but privately.Until Arsenal formally reject our bid then of course it's possible.
Of course it is.That's what I think it is. We'll see who blinks.
Except the agreed deal was on the understanding that they signed a replacement. A better offer may be enough for them to accept regardless of getting someone in. I never expected them to accept 55 + 5 tbh was really surprised that that bid got as far as it did.
Arsenal aren't fucked without the money.
It'll be bad business because of what could have been but they're hardly relying on the money.
Or going to another club, Pep's contract will nearly be up so he might think what's the point i will only play under him for a yearSrop it with your "we will get him free next year". Nothing is certain. If they qualify for CL I can even see him staying.
