It will be key to have quality players in rotation. Look at the bench last night and it's all you have to know.
That's what Pep wants.
Rotation is also a guarantee for getting minutes.
The players extending their contracts seem to agree to that idea.
It's just too great to be part of the most interesting project in world football.
But hey, unhappy players will always be free to move on.
These days City is able to attract many new quality players.
It's nearly perfect right now.

What Pep wants maybe different to what a 28 year old Sanchez or 29 year old Aguero wants - game time. I just think it is pointless upsetting the current squad when it isn't needed and predicting injuries or suspensions isn't a reason either.

I don't see how bringing in Sanchez in the January window will benefit the squad. If anything it will just rock the boat.
Leave him till the summer I say.

Yep, and guess who's got the last word: Pep.
And me. :)

Please explain in greater detail.
rock the boat

rock the boat
To do or say something that might endanger a stable situation or upset the status quo. None of my family members are fighting with each other right now, so please don't rock the boat by bringing up politics or any other controversial topics. Many people feel the newspaper is too soft on the government, as they never rock the boat when they ask questions directly to the politicians.

rock the boat

1. Lit. to do something to move a boat from side to side, causing it to rock. (Often in a negative sense.) Sit down and stop rocking the boat. You'll turn it over!
2. Fig. to cause trouble where none is welcome; to disturb a situation that is otherwise stable and satisfactory

Is it only Sanchez that will 'rock the boat', or can this be applied to any player who arrives? If a left-back rocks up in January, will that bring the same level of disharmony?

Our squad is too small for the number of comps we are in. My priority, like most on here is a cb and lb. CB in particular is vital for obvious reasons. Having said all that, I think Sanchez is a world class talent I would love to see at City. I don’t buy the out of form argument. He is at a club he wants to leave so expecting 100% effort is a stretch even for the most professional of players. As for rotation, that sounds like a nice problem to have:

Who do I pick up front? Sergio, Raz, Leroy, Jesus or Sanchez?

It’s a tough life:)
