I think Arsenal have every intention of doing the deal in Jan, just brinksmanship over the fee - as I’ve said before, I reckon a compromise of circa £30mil will be agreed where both teams feel it’s realistic.

Absolutely mate, it’s a no brainer which is why I reckon it’ll be circa £30mil - as you said the other day it’s £30mil saved rather than £30mil spent as we haven’t needed him over the first half of the season.

I just want the deal done ASAP in Jan.

Suggested a fee of 12-18m after the summer no go, but that figure would obviously be superb. I await the posturing from the Arse.
