Thanks for the reply. Of course I trust the coach, but he's not infallible: Bravo and Nolito. Players he knew a lot about.

he's carried Arsenal and Chile for a while. It's only this season he's buckled for both club and country. I am sure he will play well for Pep. He'd be in a great team, but if we wait a few months we could buy the next superstar with his best years ahead of him. It's relative for me.

I still don't think Bravo counts. He was a world class goalkeeper before he came to City, Pep can't take the blame for the incredible collapse we witnessed in his first season.

People often forget the 4 in front of Bravo last season. Clearly he is a good keeper and we know that Eddy is better, but I suspect even Eddy would have shipped a lot more with the defence Bravo had protecting him.

The lack of alternative suitors in this story suggest Sanchez only wants us/Pep. So really it’s a case of what is worth paying for a player we will get for free in the summer.

I agree totally with that as far as City are concerned but was thinking more about Arsenal's situation.

They'd be silly to miss out on the money and keep an unhappy player until the summer who can go for nothing.

doubt it,eddy is proactive and bravo reactive, the former will always do better imo

Bravo it should be remembered was the alternative to Ter Stegen and Pep never worked with Claudio & vice versa. Lucho may be blaugrana but he doesn’t set the team up like Guardiola. Plus, he had no preseason to get an understanding with his teammates - his track record as a keeper speaks for itself

Nolito may have gotten his Barça début under Pep but the player truly got his breakthrough under Lucho. In hindsight the better choice would’ve been for the player to go to Barcelona

one or 2 games not 5 months worth including our best go at the CL yet

If my memory serves me correctly it was 6 games. ( Not sure though )

But according to this article we had all our strikers injured for a while, and it was during boxing day so it means it can't be 1 or 2 games.

Anyway, City are 15 points ahead in the league without Sanchez and I am sure we can win the league without him.

For the Champions League, he will improve our chances for sure.
