We don’t know what they were offering.

Going off reports, his agents wants Sanchez on £300k a week and to be given a £25m signing on fee as well as his agents fee’s. This is excluding the transfer fee that is to go to Arsenal.

If you look at United’s £25m + Mkhitariyan offer, add in the above and you are talking nearly a £100m transfer deal before you include Sanchez’ wages.

A strange time to take a stand though? I mean we've been bent over and royally shafted for such greats as Bony and Mangala but we've decided that Sanchez is the player where we say enough is enough.

Maybe as a club we feel we are now in a stronger position to play hard ball with both players and clubs than we used to be?

Look at United in recent years.

Raiola and Mendes have had so much power over that club in the last few years. The amount of money they have made from United if written down will shock many a football fan I reckon.

Jesus now returning sooner means no need to negotiate at all right now. If Sanchez really wants to play for us all he has to do is see out the season with the Arse and we get him for free.We hold all the cards. If he doesn't want to play for us then forget him and move on.

It's a good point, but I guess at some point, that stance had to come, and why not when you're 15 points clear of the rest.

City in a position of power and using it, in my opinion.

I reckon they still think they'll get him, for the price they want to pay or a few million extra.
