Interesting listening to Tim Vickery discussing Sanchez, says it would be Wenger's norm to unload a top player when he gets in his late 20's. In addition he mentioned that including the World Cup next year he will have played for 5 seasons without a summer break!

The Wenger thing about offloading in his late 20's is sort of true...but IMO he doesn't offload them, as much as they see the clock is ticking and decide to leave.

Certainly Van Persie, Henry, Vieira were not players any sane manager would have "let go" at the time Wenger supposedly decided to.

The best thing about this signing is that Alexis wants us more that City wants him. He wants to work under Pep, be in the same team with his closest friend Claudio, play with top quality attacking players and so on. It is not like we try to convince him.
