Speak for yourself, mate. I think he's shown his true character and would have a corrosive influence on the team if he were to come now. Although I wanted us to sign him and I thought he would be great for us, I would be gutted if we signed him now.

You wont be gutted. You would be estatic like everyone else who supports the club stance including myself. Dont lie to yourself

However that eventuality would be only possible if he accepts our terms meaning signing up with our pay cap so it doesnt causes any resentment within the squad etc.

Rags thought we had done the deal and wanted to come in and show they were the bigger club and throw dosh about to show their fan base they are the bigger club.

Sanchez and his agent thought great we have some competition let’s fill our boots and city being money bags will cough up big bucks for us.

City said nah sorry you are not worth that. Goodbye.

The rags and Sanchez are now scratching their heads, Sanchez thinking fuck I am going to end up at Utd chasing long balls winning nothing and Utd wondering why they are making Sanchez the fourth highest paid player in world football - he is 29, waiting for pogba and others to start knocking on the managers door wanting some of that.

+111

Just imagine if united signed a 29 year old sanchez on massive wages, and also Ronaldo aged 32 on hugely massive wages - typical mourinho trait. Then they fail to win the title next season, ruin what young players they had and moureen bounces of leaving the club in a mess

I can see this happening pmsl

Said weeks ago the guy was poison.... i would also be gutted if he did a U turn now... it feels good to tell him to do one...

FWIW, I agree with your main points

From the point of view of this disinterested observer, I'd say the way City has gone about its business has been flawless and much to admire. Can you imagine how frustrated I am as a Gooner when I compare what you've done to our almighty shambolic situation?

As for Sanchez, I really don't think you need him and given his egocentric personality and the fact he is parachuted into a side miles ahead of the opposition as the highest paid player that could easily undermine everything you've achieved.

I'd have been happy to have him in this window, to freshen things up, but only as a committed player. He would have to alternate with several players & as the new man, play 2nd fiddle a fair bit. Have to be the right mentality

Re Arsenal, I've had a problem with them for some years, purely because of Wenger's twisted attitude toward City, which filtered through to a lot of fans. So I've taken a lot of pleasure in the collapse of his empire & the meltdown on Arse TV, however, having been on the receiving end of Swales' for many years, seeing what's happened at Arsenal recently, it's gone beyond a joke now & it's just not fair on the people who are paying money & travelling around the country week in week out.

They deserve better.
