If they had ambition they wouldn't have let themselves slide, and they are not our rivals. You can claim otherwise if you like but it rings hollow. They were 5th last season a long way off the running, and unlike City hadn't just changed manager, and weren't in transition changing keeper, defenders etc
we will have to disagree then

Hello again bud, welcome to the forum btw :-)

Would Kroenke ever do that though do you reckon? he seems perfectly happy with the current model. Unless you somehow managed to make him sell to Usmanov i think your stuck sadly. I know we are rivals but just as a fan it would do my head in knowing we are hamstrung directly due to the owner/majority shareholder. On that level i feel for the fans as you got told that now you would be blasting the cash to stay right at the top and it has not really happened.

You have had a bit of a bash and your board point to spending a fair bit recently. The reality has shown it to be always to little to late with a knock on effect of your top players finding themselves indifferent about the club. These days it seems everyone has to spend big with no club immune to players willing to walk, even Madrid suffer from time to time and Barca albeit not often.

I honestly feel it will take fans not attending to get Kroenke out and in turn Wenger. You are desperate for new blood in management but he comes with the owner sadly for you.

If Wenger leaves it until the last minute to sort deficiencies out or indeed not address them i can see fans getting really wound up then. I will watch your transfers with interest.

Ha, you're having a laugh mate, Kroenke would never finance the backing for us to go and spend 40-50m on 4-5 players in a window. He's making the fanbase toxic, put it this way if usmanov was in, i'd be more relaxed regarding the situation with alexis, knowing usmanov would take no shite of wenger. That's the thing, the board have gave him too much power now, he's an arrogant arrogant man, for example club wanted to "bring a catalyst for change" - DOF, wenger was having none of that shit, he knew the transfer stratgey / medial team / academy would all be taken away from him, so he put up a fuss. Pretty sure spending 42.5m on Ozil sent Stan into a stress induced coma for a few days, he'd rather spend his shit on his ranch back in the US.

Usmanov i feel has a connection with the fans, he knows what we want, he knows where the club should be. It was wenger and the other board members who refused to allow usmanov on the board the first time round, it's ridiculous. I just fear we're being fed the same old shit again and again, 1-2 losses in a row and it's back to next season all over again.

I just don't think kroenke has that drive or that vision to succeed in making us genuine UCL contenders or premier league champions again, as you rightly said we're in need of fresh blood / New system / new tactics / NEW BOARD.

Clubs the worse shape i've seen it in, how i wish we could go back to 2003-2004, winning the league at scum lane, having genuine leaders in the team.

I don't think there is currently a lot between both teams. In the past 5 years, you've accrued a total of 14 points more than us, so an average of about 3 a season. That's not a massive difference in the grand scheme of things.

The difference going forward might be that you have a manager that has identified the teams weaknesses, and with the backing of the board will go out this summer and beyond and sign the best players possible to rectify those weaknesses. You never get that impression that Arsenal do that ruthless enough.

We need a top striker for instance, we've needed 1 for years now, so just go out and sign the best you can get. But if you ask any Arsenal fan if they are confident that will be in place in time for season opening, or at all even, there will be lot of doubters. That's probably the main fundamental reason players like Sanchez want to leave eventually.

You'll get Lacazette

Well how about i say that Gabriel can be wreckless and dirty, & Xhaka can be very cynical and dirty as well.

Doesnt mean to say the manager went out and instructed them to do so?!

Now THAT is so much better isn't it?
Honesty.
Thank you.

Don't YOU feel better now that you've got that off your chest and been honest to yourself?

You are correct, it doesn't mean to say that the manager went out and instructed them to do so, but for me, to see what happened to Silva, in the time that it took, and most importantly with the number of times it took (let's remember it wasn't just one player losing his shit for a second early doors due to an opposing players brilliance), and believe it wasn't both premeditated or ordered is either totally blinded by their own footballing loyalties or is on the wind up. But what do you expect? You're probably a southerner aren't you? You do know they put something in the water down there that makes you all act like that don't you? That's why it tastes so funny.

But like I said, thanks for the amendment to your earlier comment, much appreciated. :)
