We obviously disagree on what ambition means. It doesn't mean being the bookies favourites.
If they had ambition they wouldn't have let themselves slide, and they are not our rivals. You can claim otherwise if you like but it rings hollow. They were 5th last season a long way off the running, and unlike City hadn't just changed manager, and weren't in transition changing keeper, defenders etc

Didn't that happen with Mendy too? It might just be that I don't pay as much attention to other clubs injuries but we seem to have the worst luck, the hoodoo doesn't even wait till they are at the club a mere mention that we want to sign them and they are injured shortly after.

Yes, our targets picking up injuries is a much better guide than any amount of info from ITKs.

So there you have it.

City and Sanchez, one of the biggest, if not the biggest transfer story this pre season in England.

But no!

Not according to the Rag loving Daily Fail. United's mouth piece.

According to the Daily Fail, and it's Byern perspective, it's.........

Sanchez could be Bayern's 'grenade' signing but Arsenal star's huge wage bill would send shockwaves through club

KIT HOLDEN: As Bayern Munich were celebrating their 27th coronation as German champions on the city hall balcony of Munich's Marienplatz, president Uli Hoeness was already planning a summer of spending. 'We need a mix of experienced players and players for the future,' Hoeness told reporters. 'We already have a lot of stars, so to improve our squad, we will need a few grenades.' Grenades. Explosive transfers. That is the mot du jour when it comes to Bayern's transfer policy this summer.

Slightly off topic, but it wouldn't be the Daily Fail without a United busting transfer headline or 2.

Mourinho wants £44m Inter star Perisic in time for tour of the US in July as Manchester United

MIKE KEEGAN: Manchester United are to sign £44million Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic within weeks. Jose Mourinho sees the Croat as a key part of his recruitment push, though a fee has yet to be agreed. The clubs are in contact and Sportsmail understands the United manager wants the 28-year-old in his squad for next month’s USA tour.

Sign Morata, keep De Gea and offload a defender: After capturing £31m Lindelof, here is the rest of Jose's summer to-do list

LAURIE WHITWELL: Winning the Europa League and League Cup transformed an underwhelming domestic season into something positive yet Mourinho knows his team must now vie to become Premier League champions and progress well in the Champions League. Here are seven steps to take.

Anyway, back to topic, and what will be the biggest transfer story of the season if Sanchez does move to City. But don't tell the Daily Fail. They wouldn't want to report it and upset United and their United readers.

I think he would stay at Arsenal if some serious drive was made, like 4-5 top players come in this season. Not the drip drip you guys seem to get. At his age though missing one season of cl footy would be a big blow. This will also be a big factor in him leaving. As a kid or old fella he may stomach it but at 28 he will be desperate to make his mark now.

Exactly, that's the thing, we don't seem to smash the transfer market like other top teams in england do, we seem to slow down, and wait and it annoys the f out of me.

Hello again bud, welcome to the forum btw :-)

Would Kroenke ever do that though do you reckon? he seems perfectly happy with the current model. Unless you somehow managed to make him sell to Usmanov i think your stuck sadly. I know we are rivals but just as a fan it would do my head in knowing we are hamstrung directly due to the owner/majority shareholder. On that level i feel for the fans as you got told that now you would be blasting the cash to stay right at the top and it has not really happened.

You have had a bit of a bash and your board point to spending a fair bit recently. The reality has shown it to be always to little to late with a knock on effect of your top players finding themselves indifferent about the club. These days it seems everyone has to spend big with no club immune to players willing to walk, even Madrid suffer from time to time and Barca albeit not often.

I honestly feel it will take fans not attending to get Kroenke out and in turn Wenger. You are desperate for new blood in management but he comes with the owner sadly for you.

If Wenger leaves it until the last minute to sort deficiencies out or indeed not address them i can see fans getting really wound up then. I will watch your transfers with interest.

If they had any ambition to win the league they would of signed a top, top striker. Something they have been desperate for since Van Persie left, yet they stuck with Giroud, and went and got unknowns like Lucas Perez.

If they had any ambition to win the league Wenger would of been sacked a long time ago.

They are not a top team, they are mentally weak team that will never be Premier League champions.

Making top 4 will be a challenge for them next season, talk of the title is fantasy.
Mate. I am not saying they will win the title but I do believe they have ambitions to. We clearly disagree, so will leave it at that.
