Will be interesting to see if City start briefing links to Neymar or Mbappe in response to this latest from Arsene.

They have a huge number of players in their last year of contract - would a new deal for Sanchez smashing their wage structure really make sense? Also with all that chatter about wage increase/FFP issues for them?

Could see Sanchez getting sold elsewhere than City if some other big club came in. But seems to me like he's getting sold no matter what this summer. Unless that wage bill/FFP issue they have isn't really much of one.
 
I have to say, if Sanchez was really going to stay they'd definitely know by now and what sense would there be in all this posturing?
Suggests one thing and one thing only, Sanchez wants to go. I imagine Arsenal are praying he will go abroad. but from Sanchez's demands in wages with Bayern and arsenal it seems he has his heart set on a move somewhere in particular. We just have to hope it's us!

Hope is right! We've been wrong about these things in the past.

Or actually cave in and pay him what he wants,Ozil has done a u-turn and decided to stay,but in reality I can't see them offering anything like his agent has supposedly asked for,it all boils down to do they want £50mill or so or he clears off to wherever for fuck all,I know if it was us what I would want take the money..

Might prove to be completely wrong but I just feel like this isn't something Wenger should be this coy about, he's probably waiting for lemar to be confirmed would be my guess.

I'm not just saying all this because I stand to win £115 If Sanchez signs for us hahah
 
Also wouldn't his agent want a big cut of what probably is his last big sale fee? Re-up with Arsenal now or run the contract out doesn't really square with that dynamic.

What other big clubs are there? He turned down Bayern, Barca can't afford him and he arguably left to facilitate that front 3 anyway, Real don't need him especially if they're in for Mbappe. What other big clubs does that leave? Juve? PSG? If he doesn't think the Bundesliga is good enough then I doubt France or Italy appeals. Pretty sure Juve have all their non-EU spots taken now anyway (?).

Apart from that it's just UK clubs and that defeats the point of not selling to us.
 
With the new season starting in 4 weeks time surely he would have come out by now to say he's staying!
Said in his interview he's knows his decision but he can't say
Why not just say "yeah staying at arsenal where I'm happy!
This is going to drag on n on n on n...... Lol

Well that would be more or less my thinking also. But one never knows - I'd guess Sanchez would not have a qualm about the Bayern or Juve on quality issues. But no one from the Germany/Italy has the ability to pay what we do so that seems to argue against that.

Can't imagine anyone wanting PSG and that league but obviously plenty have and do.
 
Arsenal are fannying here.if they really don't want him to come here they should sell to bayern for like 30m.rhen let them give him his 400k a week out of the 20 mil they have saved. Done dusted everyone but us happy.


Except the suits want 50 mil and fuck Arsene Wenger.

Bayern don't want him because they can't afford his wages.

He will destroy their wage structure and could end up forcing the agents of the likes of Lewandowski and Robben to get them pay rises.

We won't offer 400k, but I feel anyway that fee is just Sanchez telling Arsenal if you want me stay and play in the Europa that's how much it will cost you.

Make no mistake Wenger isn't stupid.
Should he admit defeat or reveal Sanchez wants to leave the price drops. He has to please the fans ,the board, and get as much as poss for his own aims of replacing a very very good player.

Lewandowski's agent won't see it like that.

He will see a player coming in on more than double the salary yet their numbers are pretty much the same, therefore the agent will be demanding Bayern give Robert a similar wage.
