I do believe Wenger is serious this time and don't think we'll get sanchez. He did it before but this time he looks seriously adamant he won't let him go and said it so many times in pretty no bullshit form it wouldn't work well for him in his current relation with fans if he would broke the promise again. It was different with nasri and rvp, he had much more credit with arsenal fans back then.

Arsenal fans would probably be okay if Wenger sold Sanchez for £50m+. Just as long as its not to City or another PL club.

There's always Jan, if Wenger keeps Sanchez, but fails to get him tied down to a new contract, Sanchez gives it the big sulk ( which could be anything from not celebrating goals, to looking under par on the pitch) Wenger may realise that he needs to cut his losses

You have to back your

That is unbelievably insulting, I've never abused anyone, I've never insulted anyone. I come here giving my opinion. Only saying what I think, never repetitive, never forceful and never being confrontational.
Anyway I'm out, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.
Fucking embarrassing behaviour .
Stay Mr. You seem a decent sort. Some people just get upset if you voice your opinion. Happens to me on here pretty regularly. I'm sure I'm "muted" by half the regulars but they'll never shut me up. :-)

Stay AwayDay Stay!

Very touching..... ;-)

Have a couple of posts disappeared? Anyway, I thought that was harsh on AwayDay - he's not a bad poster and it could be reasonably argued that there's been a lot of repetitiveness in this thread over the past few weeks. Just because he thinks Sanchez will stay, it doesn't make him a WUM or anything. He's entitled to his opinion as we are ours.

I think it would be a nice touch to put the official offer in on the back of the infamous letter to uefa on arsenal headed paper.

We bought Nasri who gave it the big sulk to get out and now are surprised he has turned out to be a sulker

This is what's puzzling me about City fans and the Sanchez saga. They seem to be happy to buy a player who sulks and throws paddies because he wants out of the club. If he does it to Arsenal, he could well do it to you too once he realises that he's probably not going to win the champions league there either. For the record I'm one of those who believe that no British club will win it for at least the next five years.

I get the feeling Wenger still believes that when Sanchez returns and is away from his bloodsucking agent, he and the team can turn his head back again.

To be fair, he probably wouldn't mind starting with getting the Premier League trophy and that's certainly something well within our grasp.

He's said he wants to compete in the Champion's League and, although I'm sure winning it is on every player's bucket list, I doubt it's something he's expecting. The important thing is he wants to play in the competition and this isn't something Arsenal can give him next season. Looking at the ever improving 'top six' in the Premier League, I'm not even sure that's something they'll be able to provide in future seasons either.

You seem to be suggesting him wanting to come to City is borne out of his agents want for more cash. By all accounts you are offering him more to sign a new contract, than we will offer him to come to us. Sanchez wants City for footballing reasons, if he stays at Arsenal, he will be doing it for the money.

These are the facts but they don't support the Gooners or the medias narrative!

I do apologise if I offended anyone, I'm only here to give my opinions on football.
I haven't actually been adamant that Sanchez would stay from the start, I wish I could say that. Then I could say I told you so.
At first I was sure he's going to city, then that he would stay, then PSG looked a done deal, now I think something would have happened by now so as things stand he will stay unless someone forces the issue.
Him by refusing to play , or city by giving us an offer we can't refuse (70m+).
Personally I would take Lemar and Mahrez and get this over and done with but it's clear that Monaco are playing hardball on Lemar and we are running out of options.
I know Wenger has said that players won't leave before, but the club's financial situation is stronger now while his own situation has never been weaker so he can't afford to make another unpopular decision.

That's how I see it, arsenal don't need the money but need to get back in the CL
All depends on who else you bring in and what other clubs do in the market, this will drag on

I honestly believe we would prefer Mahrez and Lamar also, mad to give you the money to buy two players of that quality, in fact sod it. We get Sanchez next year maybe, but use his fee of £70M toward Mb-muffin which means we actually get him for £60m on top of what we would have paid for Sanchez. And we get him on a 6yr contract then let him go to Madrid (shsssh Altringham Madrid).

I bet the deal you are offering has a bigger agents fee than ours. Agents are always trying to engineer moves, it's when they make the most of their cash. Look at Anelka's brother. He used to take the piss out of Nicholas, touting him here there and everywhere. The agent said Sanchez wanted 275k a week, after a while we relented and offered it to him, then all of a sudden it went up to 400k while Alexis was in Russia playing in the confed cup to force a move. Make no mistake, all agents put themselves before their clients.

We may not win it, but we are in it at least... plus, as you can see, our owner is not shy of spending to make the squad capable of winning it – something that cannot be said of your club – and Sanchez knows that.
