Sanchez might say something tonight, because he might want to get things done and not drag on
If they win I cannot see him saying anything that would take headlines away from his teams victory. I'd be a bit pissed off with him if I was a team mate and he did after winning a significant tournament.

I thought it was the final of the Confederations Cup tonight?

Might come from his agent/pr people pre agreed statement released later on in the night

Apologies. I was reading the Arsenal forum and the twitter post came up from the guy who announced his previous move. I thought it might be worth sticking it on here. Not been back on their site yet to see what reaction it got.
On topic - my twopeneth is that Sanchez would be a great asset to us, but is far from essential to us winning the league. I fancy us next season with or without him. And for any lurking Tarquins - I fancy the Arse to remain outside the top 4 with or without him ;-)
Glad you made that mistake before me

I was also reading the same Arsenal forum and was just about to post that 'news' - hope it is bollocks

Surely people don't really think he's going to make any kind of announcement on his future tonight? That is so incredibly unlikely.

And when was the last time England won a tournament as big? Believe me Germany might not be taking it seriously but other teams who win it reckon it counts and this Chile team definitely will.

Because Chile want to beat a German reserve team to win it doesn't make it on par with the Euros, Copa America or the World Cup.

I can't recall a manager picking a reserve team for any of those tournaments. The confederations cup is basically a warm up for the World Cup.

Strange point regarding England seen as though this prestigious tournament has only been going since the 90s

I didn't say it was on a par with the World Cup Euros or Copa America just that it is a significant tournament and more so to some countries than others.

Loads of club sides play reserve teams in the League cup and FA cup doesn't mean that they are insignificant tournaments to the teams that win them. This Confed cup will be significant to Chile if they win it.

Why does Sanchez want to leave Arsenal and why do Arsenal fans want Wenger out?

Because like the Con Feds Cup the FA Cup is nowhere near the big 2 trophies.
