Yes. The goalie is in that box. :) That said you are right, the problem is not singular. But highlighting CB as a problem area is really a stretch. I think CB play was, one of, if not the strongest part of our team. No other position has its depth and quality across the board.

Yes we can improve it just like we can improve any position, but its the least in need of improving.
Jesus wept, you have to be taking the utter piss? That's a post on a par with Marv's best.

Did you actually watch us last year? When we had no Vince our central defence was a car crash, not one of the 3 partnerships between Stones, Nico and AK looked in the slightest bit solid.

Jeez, I read some shit on here but that's up near the top.

I have said the above a thousand times, but their is a core of City fans who believe we need a saviour Centerhalf, who would save us if Komps can't hold up.

It has more to do with narrative than fact. Other than that though, I enjoy reading Marvin. He is a breath of fresh ideas. Even if I disagree with most of them.

You rate Sanchez? Of course you do.....who doesn't? But enough to be excited about him and do you think that he is what we need to solve our problems in attack?

For somebody who believes that Otamendi and Stones are good enough for a club with Champs League aspirations you probably shouldn't be sneering at those who disagree with you....

WTF does this mean?

It has more to do with narrative than fact

And strangely enough, one who said it was Pep Guardiola.
I don't want to go off topic too much as Fantasyireland is always on my case about that. But Pep didn't say we needed a "Saviour Centerhalf." Many just read that into his comment coz that's what they believe. As for Sanchez, it seems Pep genuinely wants him...

So there is that... If you wanna continue this discussion though, hit me up on the "CB thread" :)

Progress, Dax.

;)

You enjoy Marvin as you don't understand the British wummary.... you don't actually think he believes that shit?
I do think he does. But what I enjoy about Marvin is the matter of fact manner of his position. He is not there to insult or dismiss. States his beliefs calmly even though he understands they are sometimes unpopular. And then he gives his reasons.

I disagree with his view on whether we should get Sanchez. But I agree with his analysis of what Sanchez is.

I'd be suprised if he is still a AFC player by deadline day, i've come to grips with him going now. And i highly doubt kroenke would stand by and let the club miss out on 50-60m, he's a buisnessman afterall.

Still think there might be a few twists and turns in this, my likely scenario is that both clubs are waiting until arsenal have wrapped up there main transfers - Laca / mahrez / lemar. that's just my take on it, either way wherever he goes, he's always going to give 110%, absolute wonderful player i'll miss badly.

I'm looking forward to watching Sanchez in a few minutes. And as you very well know, I like most City fans here watched us plenty.

And I stand by my opinion that got you riled. But veering back on topic. Excited to see the crown Jewel against stiff OPPO.

Progress, Dax.

;)
Trying :)

I rate him, yes. Is he what we need to solve our problems in attack. Yes, he could be. Not necessarily just him, bit what his presence does to our option. With him, now we'd have 5 attacking players for 3 positions.

Granted, Mbappe, Dembele, Coman, Dybala and a host of others also fit that description. But he does as well. So I'm glad. I think we'll challenge with or without him. It would just be less risky if he is an option.
