I will be really disappointed if we end up signing someone in Nolito's level after all the Alexis and Mbappe talk.

Hmmm think the dealing with Arsenal might be the biggest stumbling block

Yes. It is. And we must sort it out quick no point in dragging till Aug 31 and then losing out anyway. Because if he isn't coming we must go for some other forward.

We're not that naive to just lose out anyway. This transfer demands structure, planning and delicacy. Besides which, Alexis wants to come - that's the bargaining tool. We've just to wait it out and let Arsenal look like they're a serious club for a bit.

Arsenal will milk this for all its worth money wise before any deal, Sanchez will have to submit a written transfer request, no loyalty bonus and they will drag it out as close to the end of the window as possible to get the maximum price out of us.(Appreciate that could backfire on them)

It's no biggy either way. We have enough firepower as it is,If pep wants another 1 or 2 he'll get them. He'd be a good signing no doubt but this is Manchester city and they will have other irons in the fire for certain. Good irons at that.

FFS. Not Andre Ayew.

Was never going tobe an easy transfer. If he does eventually sign, it will be dragged out till deadline day, City will be held to ransom probably near 60m, Sanchez will be made to look a complete mercenary by Arsenal to save face and they will probably threaten to report us for tapping up.

So if arsenal do string this out, as some are implying... and they do sign Lacazette and say Mayhrez and Lemar, all on the sizeable deals they'd need to table to hook them, are they fucked and fall foul of FFP if they have to keep Sanchez?

Say they get everybody in, while holding on to Sanchez, in the financial position they are in, have they not fucked their bargaining position? If we backed out last minute (I know we wouldn't leave Sanchez in the lurch like that), but what FFP ramifications would they face?

Makes sense to me.
