Sorry Dax, you lost me right there. Definitions of 'recent history' don't change just because of a thread title.

Well there is no brightline definition of recent history. Its all context dependent.

So in a thread about player X wanting to leave club A to join club B, because he wants a chance to win more, an acceptable limitation on "recent history" is the length of period player X was at club A.

That said, anyone with common sense can tell that your most recent past history outcomes are not the only basis for determining who is more like to succeed in the near future.
