Had he chose us over Barca at the point we were then at would have shown a complete lack of ambition on his part. It fact it would have been madness. Even now they are a bigger draw if only in lifestyle. On the pitch I think we are much much closer,I'd even say better in some areas, so I'd be upset should we lose out in future tussles. Back then he did nothing wrong.

If I racall we had chased him since Jan 2011 along with rags and he had teased wanting to come to England, around Easter Barca shown interest and he (as he was entitled to do) became ambiguous to what he wanted to do, much like now. Udinese were deffinately selling him by now.
A lot of time and effort by the club was wasted until he finally said he wanted to go Barca(which he could have said all along) in May, which we could have spent chasing other targets.
Also barca took the piss out of Udinese knowing he would only sign for them and offered 10m less than we were already willing to pay knowing Pozzo didn't have an option.

I can understand why players would choose barca over us even now, just seems that Sanchez is a bit of a dick whe it comes to this, tell arsenal if he's leaving or not from the get go be upfront and honest, that's all.

Anyway out of all the maybes I posted that is my least important one, mainly I don't see the point in buying him with the forward li e we have, if it cost Sergio, Sterling, Sane or Jesus game time I prefer not to get him , Especially in Sane case, the lad is gonna big worldclass and needs nowt to get in the way of his progress.

Only my opinion but if he come welcome Alexis I will back you all the way l, if he doesn't ok no bother.

I'm not sure what the big uproar is with regards the latest quotes to be honest. He hasn't really said anything that we didn't really already know, if you believed the reliable Chilean journalists.

So far, he's basically said he wants Champions League football, his ambition is to win the Champions League, but he has a contract for another year at Arsenal so will see what they say.

So basically, he probably won't sign the new deal, would like to leave but the ball is in Arsenal's court whether to sell him now or keep him until the end of his contract. Is that not what we've been debating what will happen the last 900 pages or so?

He has basically said he has asked to leave and when you look at the full transcript of the interview, its clear which club he has set his heart on joining.

True although with him being on his holidays this feels as though he has felt the need to reiterate his desire is to leave after Wengers comments yesterday morning.

This is all goona come down to money can arsenal afford yo lose out on £50m+ and can they afford to pay him as well as new signings and new players contracts without breaking ffp rules????
