I think Sanchez has made it clear he's not signing a new contract and he's asked to leave. For the good of the squad it's probably best to ship him out before pre season and re invest the £50m.

Next season he leaves on a free and every man and his dog will be interested in him. He would only have to wait till January to start talking to clubs.
If he wants to leave then Arsenal would be daft to not sell him this summer.
Either he signs a new deal in the next few weeks or he goes simple. Very few clubs in world football and Arsenal are not among them would do otherwise.

And lose £50m, I very much doubt they are that stupidArsenal fans will go into full meltdown and I would love to see that but this transfer isn't happening soon at all and have serious doubts if it even happens. Wenger would rather him run out his contract than come here this summer and for once I can see the board backing him on seeking to a Premier League team.

I guess it all depends on what he has said to the club. If he has told them in no uncertain terms that he will not extend his contract and wants to leave, then perhaps. But even then, where can you find a replacement of his quality for even £100m? If he really is trying to force his way out, then I'd imagine that Arsenal will try to force him to move away from the Premier League. Then, things could drag on and on until one of them blinks.

I just feel Arsenal losing out on the Champions League are now going to be even stricter and letting their top players go to rival clubs.

Bayern Munich would take him. There's long term interests within Arsenal as well, becoming weaker within their own league minimises their income overall.

£50 mil Sanchez £40 Mil CL that's a big hit I don't see how keeping him achieves anything they risk Sanchez joining us anyway on a freeman next season I think they will sell.
