Alexis Sanchez

Lads chill out. He's actually roadtripping through Paris on his way to Girona so he can help us secure the mighty COSTA BRAVA TROPHY.

Dreamed all his life winning it I bet.

Whether or not he's going to PSG, I'd guess he deleted that twatter posting largely to defuse the inevitable "OMG look at the location" hysterics. But of course by doing so merely amplified the amount/effect of them. For me, Id have to think PSG gets very little marginal benefit to add Alexis and Mbappe. Measured against an almost certain showdown with UEFA if they did.

Probably bollocks, but rumours from L'equipe that we have given him permission to talk to PSG about a free transfer next summer.

I'm sure financially, that is the biggest deal he could get. Great deal for us imo. Ok we lose on the transfer fee, but we get another year of Alexis on £140k pw, and still don't lose him to a rival.
Last time we missed out on Sanchez we bought Aguero instead. Best to do whats best for your team, not try to worry too much about others.

Effectively giving up a £50m fee for a season of Sanchez doesnt seem too good a deal for me.

Now he removed the location on that tweet.

You've got to think that he's off to PSG
Supposedly he was just there on visa reasons, stands to reason he deleted the location just because he knew the ferocious misinterpretation it would get.

Personally think we need him. Kun despite being a well deserved legend for all of us, is not the player he once was. He does need plenty of chances to score. And as we saw yesterday there is going to be endless busparking. So rare chances need to be taken. It is hard to put all the onus on a 20 year old however good he is.

While many of us laugh at Lukaku's first touch, he is going to score a shed load, due to the way United play. Kun and Gabrial are far superior footballers but our endless possession based football doesn't lend itself to giving either of our strikers much space.

Sanchez offers something different, the way he drives at defences.

Had 3 chances yesterday and scored 1. Hardly plenty. Add in his inch perfect cross that Jesus should have buried and the part he played in our second and I'd say Aguero is still a pretty important player in the grand scheme of things regardless of how many want to do him down with talk of him not being the player he was.

To much deep thinking going on regards our players,if Sanchez comes good if he doesn't tough we have enough quality and throw in the youth of Diaz and foden sometimes an unknown quality can catch opposition teams out..

Looks like PSG are going balls deep on Sanchez and Mbappe and it looks like they will get both.

Aubameyang or Belotti anyone?

Good post but not a fair one, 3 chances scored 1with a lovely finish put 1 well wide of the goal can't remember his other chance
For the second goal beat a few with some fancy footwork lost the ball and Brighton player gave it back to him so got lucky they
He is important to us but judge him fairly when comparing him to other players

I wasn't comparing him to anybody. I was making the point that he's still as important to today us as he's ever been and yesterday proved that with the major part he played in our win.
