Exactly, then we can use this foreign spot on VVD
We have 2 spots i think since nasri left and if we can shift mangler and bony as well then it's no prob, seems we pulled out of VVD because of the money and he wants the dippers and he has gone on strike which is not what we like in our buys,it's a winger scorer we need and a LB as well as a defender,it's too late for all them i think

The clubs approach (from what we know) seems counter intuitive. Tell the player not to hand in a transfer request and still take a patient, passive stance and let it go down to the wire. I would have thought it's only useful to wait till the last minute if someone has handed in a transfer request - that way the selling club's hands are tied?

That's because the previous manager signed Bony, who was one of the top scorers in the league, & had no idea what to do with him.

Another, better, manager would have had a plan for him & Iheancho to score goals & used kids to strengthen the squad options.

Again, fans from other clubs looking on, when we signed Bony, would be expecting us to be a major force with an extra dimension, not to play exactly the same way with a totally unsuitable cf. Sterling was a shadow of the player, stuck in one position al season, as was Yaya on his own v midfields full of mid 20s runners.

Shit, manager, who had no idea how to 'manage' a top squad.

Pep has proven he can 'manage' players, so imo he should have this lot, competing for every trophy. It doesn't mean we automatically win, but we should compete.

Sanchez does not guarantee us winning either.

Fans from other clubs are no football authorities in any way and neither are City fans, so why you bring them in discussion all the time? Yes, I said we spent lot of money and it's not something to be proud of but our squad was awful until this summer. We had good first team though even in it were few midtable players last 2 seasons. But I guess bringing the kids is the point you shockingly :D want to introduce - yeah, that would surely help our squad quality. Not.

If I remember correctly, Nasri went on tour to China with Arsenal and still signed for us in the last few days of the transfer window. You never know.
Tour with the club is different to this as once he is in chile they are not going to let him fly straight back to sign for us,their game is 28th aug someone said

He needs a medical and i just can't see his manager letting him take a day out of training a couple of days before their game
If Sanchez asks Chile for a afternoon or evening to do a medical, I think Chile give him an afternoon.

I know we are all impatient about this one, but City's tactics are far better than, lets say, Barcelona's with Coutinho.

When Barca bid at start of this week ,what motivation do Liverpool have to accept? Even if its good money, they know if they refuse it Barca will come back. If they bid again today, then refuse again, Barca will be back. Then on Deadline day they have a higher fee.

If City had made 5 bids up until now all would've been rejected. Give me one reason that Arsenal should've (hypothetically) accept the first, the third or the fourth bid?

Normally, the answer is because you can spend the money, but Arsenal can still do that and go find the replacements and have deals ready to go....

I dont think its passive, its just avoiding ending up in a one team bidding war.

If the Coutinho deal happens, then if Barca had waited until deadline day or close, he'd be going for less... They are now up to silly money and its only going to get worse.

Surely this post is a wind up? We struggle to convert easy chances. Not break down parked buses. The difference isn't even subtle, it's enormous, and Sanchez is absolutely a solution as unlike Aguero he's becoming a better finisher as he gets older.
There's no evidence that Aguero is getting worse, he's just not in a brilliant run of form and is having to adapt his game to what Pep wants. How many goals has he scored for us again? How many in his last "poor" season?

To put the ball in the back of the net when a glorious opportunity presents itself is absolutely 100% down to the player.
And when the player struggles to do it, it's the managers job - the COACHES job - to do some bloody coaching.
