That is not showing any ambition and nothing to do with what we do

Paying up for Pogba, Zlatan, and lukaku to get done what needs done is the definition of ambition and making reference points to what our rivals are doing absolutely has relevance with what we're doing thank you very much.

Look at who we have brought before having a love in with the rags...in the rag thread

Ibrahimovic is on a free.

We've not stepped back.

Far from it.

Cheers for the update.

I'm confident he'll join. A lot of sheep in this thread that just believe everything they read.

Arsenal have everything to lose and they will rather cash in now for £60-70m than have Sanchez sign a pre contract in January, destroy team morale and on top of that leave for free in the summer. It would be a disaster for Arsenal.

I know we are all impatient about this one, but City's tactics are far better than, lets say, Barcelona's with Coutinho.

When Barca bid at start of this week ,what motivation do Liverpool have to accept? Even if its good money, they know if they refuse it Barca will come back. If they bid again today, then refuse again, Barca will be back. Then on Deadline day they have a higher fee.

If City had made 5 bids up until now all would've been rejected. Give me one reason that Arsenal should've (hypothetically) accept the first, the third or the fourth bid?

Normally, the answer is because you can spend the money, but Arsenal can still do that and go find the replacements and have deals ready to go....

I dont think its passive, its just avoiding ending up in a one team bidding war.

If the Coutinho deal happens, then if Barca had waited until deadline day or close, he'd be going for less... They are now up to silly money and its only going to get worse.

It's apples and oranges really. Coutinho has a contract until 2022, I completely understand why Liverpool don't want to sell. If they don't Coutinho will put his head down and play his best football to guarentee himself a starting spot for Brazil at the next World Cup. He will probably have a good year and play well for Brazil, his value will sky rocket and then they'll get even more money for him and will actually have time to replace him, would be surprised if Liverpool sell.

Sanchez has one year left and Arsenal have zero leverage. They won't let him go for free, Arsenal knows that and so does every one else. Arsenal are in a terrible negotiating position.

Read the comments someone put Rosler1985?? Hahaha
I know I can't really disagree either lol
Until you get that signed by your dad, I refuse to believe it.
Lol
A bit like this thread moving forward 5 pages and it's all about Augero, nothing about this deal being any closer than it already was several weeks ago,I'm sure in peps book it states his job is too get the team too the final third, then it's up to the forwards too finish it off which were not doing, eventually it will all click into place regardless if Sanchez comes our not
I honestly believe if we sign Sanchez we'll win the league. We still can but I think with Sanchez we'd be unstoppable
Reddit is a bullshit source at the best of time
Don't believe it either but who knows eh

Somebody better tell
Wenger because he seems very confident that Sanchez isn't moving in this window!

I think Arsenal will keep him personally and try and get him to sign a new contract - in other words try and wear him down between now and the end of the season.

We might have to play the long game on this one

Looking like we need both Gabby and Kun to stay fit, God forbid they both get an injury at the same time.

We've had an incredible window. This has supposedly been our top target all summer, the window isn't over of course but I'll be agitated if we don't sign him. Remember those quotes about city being highly confident of this one getting done? Federer done etc? I for one am sick of getting worked up for those top targets for nothing. 5k pogba thread, 1k Mbappe thread, maybe get 2k Sanchez thread.

If it doesn't happen it doesn't happen but it's getting pretty damn annoying being the bridesmaid here.

Of course, it's all meant to be fun. When the fun stops, stop.

I think this deal goes through at the end of the window - crazy that Arsenal would let Sanchez go on a free next year.

Touché. I think there was a little less intensity in post than how it read but the point remains.

I think there's a good chance as well. We'll see :)

I think Wenger would absolutely let that happen just to save face. The longer this has dragged on the less likely it happens for me. Now its just dead in the water as Arsenal have no one to replace him with.

Arseandhole are simply making us squirm. I'm confident by this time next week fans will be eager to see a new jersey on sale in the man city shop.... I mean after they buy their Evans jerseys.
