Alexis Sanchez

He's over-egged it. Arsenal's interest is concrete.

It may well be concrete but that means absolutely nada.

Look if they want Sterling then this whole Sanchez deal can fuck right off for me.

It's absolutely ludicrous to even entertain this idea.

two of Sterlings latest decisions were to stick the ball in the net,in the build up he played two perfectly weighted one twos
put me in a proper sour mood this Wenger wum bs,would like the club to poo poo it pronto

Bad idea however I have one big issue with Stirling, for a professional footballer he has the weakest shot I have ever seen.
We should offer then Denayer as he will never make it at City. Imho

I'm not terribly bothered about how much we spend, other than potential FFP issues, but we shouldn't overpay because Arsenal have got themselves in a desperate situation. This is the time to stick the knife in them. They have a player who patently does not want to be there and has one year on his contract. Sanchez can come to City if he wants to, it's just a question of when. Arsenal need to take sensible money and find a replacement pdq.

Absolutely right. As that shyster Don King was fond of saying "never give a sucker an even break"!

Exactly. Arsenal have a player who is worth literally nothing to them in a couple of days unless they can get him to sign a new contract (which they can't). I know, now we've got them exactly where we want them let's bung them £80m and get them out of a shit hole of their own making. Not bloody likely.

This is what will happen:

  1. Arsenal will get around 65M pounds for Alexis Sánchez. Deal done.

  2. Arsenal will offer around 8.7M pounds for Jonny Evans. Will get rejected, Leicester will offer 25M pounds, City will ofer 30M.

  3. Arsenal will equal City's offer, but will get rejected (West Brom will make up a reason, the real reason being that they were annoyed by the 5M + 3.7M in bonuses Arsenal offered in the first place).

  4. Mertesacker and Monreal will suffer injuries. 2-4 months out.

  5. Arsenal will offer 37M pounds. Offer accepted in principle.

  6. City will ofer 40M pounds. Offer accepted, Arsenal has to go back to the negotiating table.

  7. Alexis says to MCTV that "although my career took a step back after leaving Barcelona, I feel that I'm ready to make a comeback in football."

  8. Arsenal offers 45M for Evans. Offer is accepted.

  9. Last day of the transfer window. Man City offer 50M for Evans, West Brom accepts, they tell Arsenal their deal is off. No time to negotiate.

  10. Koscielny retires from football.

  11. Arsenal offers 60M pounds + 5M in bonuses for Evans. Offer is accepted. Sir Alex has a laughing fit, needs a bit of Caol Ila to calm down.

  12. City decide against placing a new bid for Evans.

  13. Arsenal officially announce the signing of 29 years old Jonny Evans, for the same fee that they sold Alexis Sánchez for. Essentially, they replaced Alexis Sánchez with Jonny Evans.

  14. Arsenal announce that Evans suffered a malleolar injury, he's expected to return to action by early December, after which he's scheduled to suffer a calf strain.

  15. Koscielny announces his return to professional football, signing for Manchester City.

I think it sort of makes sense this. Currently we have too many attacking players already with Silva, Bernardo, Sterling, Sane, Aguero, Jesus, De Bruyne. We currently need to have 3 of these on the bench every game. If we get Sanchez that puts us with 4 players on the bench. Although I rate Sterling out of that list of players he is the one who is most dispensable and Sanchez is better

I'm sorry but anyone even slightly entertaining the thought of Sterling going the other way even if on loan needs to seriously examine their heads!! I can't believe how many people are ready to offload him just like that as if he is a collectors card. Sterling is off limits, he is our player, he is 22, he is homegrown, he has been one of our best players in the first 3 games. Scored 2 crucial goals. He is part City's plans for the future. He is definitely worth more than 70 Million and he is NOT for sale.

Sanchez will come for Cash. If Arsenal needs a player going the other way, the Delph, Mangala or Denayer are available. Even Nasri would have worked out a week ago

I don't like how people are so easily ready to offload him and if I was him and read all these comments I would be upset. The way he celebrated and got sent off on Saturday truly shows how much he enjoys being a blue. He ran straight up to the fans! Sterling will mature and become a legend for the blues.

But Sterling is only 22 while Sanchez is 29. Plus Sanchez out of contract at end of season. Just don't see how this deal stacks up or would make any sense whatsoever.

What about sterling going there on loan? Could that happen? Could make sense seeing as if we sign Sanchez he could struggle for game time

Point of order: he ran up to the fans & was red carded for them running into him.

Are we reportedly offering cash plus Sterling?!

If that's the case, someone at our club needs their head examined.

Sterling is worth at least £60m in today's ludicrously inflated market, and has looked promising in his appearances this season thus far.
He's worth a lot more than 60, at least 90.

Arses are thrashing about like a wounded animal, let's just give them pep and be done with it,a swap of any of our players bar the deadwood will not happen

I have long believed that Sterling will be among the last players of the current squad left at the club in the mid-2020s. Him, Mendy and Stones is my feeling. AND we sign Sanchez anyway. Happy days.
