Alexis Sanchez

Was fun spending 15 mins looking at Arsenal Mania.

Sterling went from shit, to fantastic, to shit again within a day.

Loved seeing them think they would get Aguero or Sane too.

Still here, It's hard to keep up when the thread is growing 100 pages every couple of hours lol.

I'm not going to hide just because Sanchez could get sold, when i've thought there was a chance he could get sold all summer. I'm also not hiding through the 'crisis', we've been in some form of 'crisis' over & over now, no point in hiding during this particular one.

I recon it would be an even worse one if City walked away from this deal.

Bizarre way to run a football club.

Not the best times to be an Arsenal fan.
So what do you think is the most probable and realistic outcome of the Sanchez saga?

Arsenal fans can only hope the delay is due to trying to secure a replacement(in principle) first before giving the ok... rather than deliberately leaving it 'til the last minute, spending nothing and hoping the fans blame the player.

If it gets done great, if not who cares. How many games till January ? He can come then at half the fee or sign a pre contract and Arsenal get nothing in the summer

Absolutely this. If he's £70m now, he's £35m tops in January. I'm really not that bothered.

Arsenal don't have many ITK's but the few that exist are usually very accurate.
This is what they've heard just now: Arsenal have held a meeting and have made a FINAL decision to KEEP Alexis Sanchez irrespective of the magnitude of Man City's offer. It looked like it could've happened at some point as Gazidis wasn't against selling.
Also, Arsenal have always maintained they will NOT sell AS unless they have an adequate replacement in before selling him and City have also informed also they will not offer a player in return. 'Offer from City has arrived too late and AS hasn't handed in a transfer request'.

That is the end of this saga..

This is now getting scarily ridiculous. This morning there was a mirror reporter (Sounded much like an arsenal fan) but he seemed to the talking on Arsenals behalf.... He "reported" Sanchez wants to stay for the last year and see out his contract, so it would take something extraordinary from City to buy him.. ". This is on national radio talking absolute bullshit, I really hope we dont fall into a trap of overspending on someone who is 29.

I would hope we walk away if they start taking the piss and leave Arsenal with a pissed off player upsetting their dressing room until January when we pay less. Fuck em if they are taking the piss out of City

Daily (deluded) Cannon.

However, the same could surely be said of Alexis Sanchez, who scored 30 and assisted 19 for Arsenal in 2016/17. If City want their target badly enough, I feel they will have to make sacrifices, because otherwise the Gunners have very little incentive to sell.

I think the most likely option is that Alexis will still be wearing an Arsenal shirt on Saturday, September 9 when we face Bournemouth.

It's hard to admit defeat.

Especially when you've stated on numerous occasions on your website that Sanchez is not for sale and won't be sold to City.( the dirty oil money club) ;-)

Great to see pep supporting Sterling and just proves how corrupt the media is.

This will be a big boost for him and he's very much a confidence player.

In a bizarre way I'm as happy keeping sterling as the prospect of getting Sanchez!

The joys of being a city fan

The Jeremy Cross article claiming Pep doesn't want Sterling anymore was a fucking disgrace and City should be taking that lying **** to the fucking cleaners.

Sanchez is all but gone. We'll probably cave in around the £60M-£65M mark. Ox will go to Liverpool, probably around the £35M mark. We'll make over £100M+ in the space of a day, wont buy any real replacements, be at a net profit of £60M for the transfer window, & we'll compete with Everton for 6th.

We've been run quite bizarre for a while mate. This past couple of weeks could be the cherry on top of the cream on top of the cake mind you.

You lot really need to do something about it.

We are experts at this, having had several decades of Peter Swales & the longer it goes on, the more difficult it is to fix.

It took us two relegations & several near bankruptcy incidents to undo the work of PJS. We should have driven the **** out, 20 years earlier.

Haha the Sun are at it.

Alexis offered to rags.
Arsenal hoping a rival offer will bump up the price.
Both PSG and the rags are looking much stronger than at the start of the transfer window.
Let's hope his desire to work with Pep again is more than Alves'.
Both clubs would love to steal him from us or drive our price up.
It's getting close, steady nerve needed.
