We still have to be careful. We all want the deal done but if they have asked for £70m and we just rock up this morning offering it, whats to stop them thinking they can move the goalposts again? I think a 2nd offer in the region of £60m will be rejected and the deal will end up getting done for around £65m.

Yeah you're right, although the counter argument is can they risk us just walkinh away? Their need to sell is now arguably as great as our need to buy? Looking like it will be an interesting day!

City don't need to 'bid' again. I'm of the understanding a fee was verbally agreed late last night. Hence the silence from both sides this morning except Arsenal journo's saying that they want a replacement. Appeasing their supporters by giving the impression that they're somehow playing hardball.
That sounds plausible. Everything looks stage-managed to an inevitable conclusion.

If that is true, then Arsenal are really taking the piss out of their supporters. The stuff they fed Ornstein about being skint. Unbelievable.

That sounds too stupid to be coming from Arsenal tbf.

Even they wouldn't expect their fans to swallow that one.

They need to sell more than we need to buy. We have Aguero and Jesus. After today they lose him for £0.

According to Swedish Aftonbladet he completed his medical in Manchester yesterday. When they say its their own sources as they do now they are usually spot on and never lie about stuff like this (as English newspaper usually do). But I have no idea how they could have got this information.

It may have been "medical FOR Manchester " but it definitely wasn't "medical in Manchester"

It sounds genuine, i.e. they genuinely believe it. But it sounds very unlikely.

They are certain that it was in Manchester at the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance. And I trust them as they are very reliable with their own sources. Are there proof that he was in Chile yesterday?

Yea totally agree. I do believe them but as they dont lie about stuff as other newspaper does but yea it sounds very unlikely that no other newspaper would have snapped up the information.
