Alexis Sanchez

If he's available we should get him. We quite simply have 2 out & out wide men in the squad - we've been "lucky" that Sterling/Sane have stayed fit so it doesn't seem there's any obvious deficiency. But either of them go missing for a time & we're suddenly pretty thin up top.

Don't think we need him in January, but a free transfer in the summer? Would be a pretty tasty signing that would.

Following on from Pogba wishing injuries on us, did you notice Moureen's sly dig about the winter injury period shortly after talking about us having the advantage of an extra day off?

This is what they're all hoping for & why Pep is doing everything he can do to avoid this happening.
**** needs to start looking over his shoulder and stop peering over the fence at us.

I think it's pretty obvious that Aguero's mood is because he wants to be the main man and playing as much as possible, so it's also pretty obvious that us chasing a player that is going to significantly into that game time won't be going down well with him. I doubt he'd be alone in being unhappy with Sanchez coming and taking some of their game time either.

As for football metrics, I couldn't give a shit, they are incredibly unreliable and prove nothing. Ask any Arsenal fan or anyone who has watched them a lot and they'll tell you that Sanchez has been poor this year. As for him being finished in top flight football, no idea where you even inferred that from. I said you can't simply turn form on like a switch, but that's not specific to Sanchez, that's just how confidence and form work.
So Aguero's mood isn't down to Sanchez then? Are you saying he's in a mood anyway? If so, what difference would the addition of Sanchez make to Aguero, seeing as he plays in a different position?

If players are unhappy having competition for places, why don't we just have a squad of 11 backed up by academy products? Then everyone in the squad would be happy & so would you.

Pay attention to the metrics or not. However they are statistical facts against your opinion. In terms of Sanchez's performances, what the stats do show is that he's not at the level of last season, however he is still their best player.

If a below par Sanchez is still Arsenal's best player, can you begin to see why Pep wants him?

What Arsenal fans want is the same player who dragged them along for the last 2 seasons on his own. That player wants out & to go to a team where he'll have to go some to be considered in their top 5 players.

Hopefully you now understand why Pep wants Sanchez & Sanchez wants Pep's Manchester City.

Don't want a cut price deal from Arsenal for Sanchez in the coming window.

What I really want ( and assumes Pep agrees ) is to sign him on a free in the summer, meaning the stupid and greedy twats on their Board and the senile cnut Wenger have exactly zip to add to their transfer budget, just to further demonstrate their total fucking stupidity in their transfer dealings last summer.

Apologies to decent Gooners who post on this forum , as you must be absolutely distraught at the incompetence shown by the club ?

Don’t think we’ll be in for a left-back this window - centre-half is definitely the priority.

Not sure when Mendy is back and I worry about Delph's fitness - albeit he has been a revelation since coming into the side, but he simply cannot play every game. There can't be many left-backs that Pep fancies and are available. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of Zinchenko in some capacity, though.

I think it could’ve been different if Ghoulam didn’t get injured, but don’t think we’ll buy for the sake of it.

I agree, inthink CB is prio 1, ( fo VD), possibly a LB or Sanchez, but i think Sanchez mire likely in summer unless Wenger can singn a replace in january.
if we can get a strong LB with talent like Mendy, then pep will start playing AJ together [emoji106].
well just have to wait and see.

I think we should go for him. Would be a bit on top for us to just leave him in the lurch.

Especially if, as reported in summer, we promised him we'd be back in for him January.

hehe, come and get me plea?

It’s interesting because he could earn more money if he left on a free in the summer.

Maybe he see’s an opportunity to possibly pick up a title winners medal and who knows what else if we carry on as we are.

I think ideally we would sign him in January, but I have a slight feeling that even Pep has been suprised by our attacking exploits this seasons and doesn’t want to ruin any harmony in that attacking unit.

We are already struggling to offer Bernardo Silva game time. In any other team he would be playing every week, but out of all the players in the squad it’s Raheem who is keeping him out. Who would have thought that at the start of the season?
