one of the biggest disappointments for me was we let players like sanchez, di maria, and ozil join our rivals without a fight, if we could spend 28 on bony on the winter window of same season, surely we could have agreed a deal with barca which wouldn't effect our books for that season, something along the lines of negredo and jovetic deal, loan for a season with a must buy clause

He wanted London, his missus did and he snubbed us once before when he went to Barca being our first target that summer. You can't fix any problem with money, sometimes players just want the other option, they get huge money anyway so even if your offer is best is not huge deal if you offer them odd million more when they earn 10-15 anyway.

He's definitely the kind of player who if available you go for. Would be happy with this one considering I'd not put any real thoughts into the possibility of it happening.

We could have done with buying him when he left Barca; as we could with Fabregas. Had done those deals, I think there's a very good chance we would have got more silverware in the trophy cabinet. I think FFP might have prevented us doing those deals even if the players would have come to City then.

Very possibly true, but if you are Sanchez and you have the opportunity to take one last big move, go to a club that will be playing for silverware every year and working with Pep again wouldn't you take that over sticking with the arse?

Would be a no brainer to me, but then again I can never remove my blue tinted specs ;)
