'All Or Nothing' - discussion of documentary

One thought that occurred to me after finishing it is what a great advert it is to players around the world. They will definitely watch it, and a lot of them will be thinking they want a bit of that.

As a recruitment vehicle it couldn't be bettered.

“His only crime was being black”

Anyway, you think he knows more, I don’t. Great.

He was speaking to a class of 6 year olds, mate.

When I was 6 my mum told my that the storks flew down and put babies in mummies tummies, do you think she didn’t know more?

You don't think Vincent Kompany knows about the history of the great Nelson Mandela? Because he said to kids when asked quite a difficult, potentially controversial, question about what Mandela was charged with and why he spent so long in prison?

So did you take him literally on his word then?

I’ve said what I think, you’re free to disagree and have done so.

I've watched the first two episodes - unique insight into City and very entertaining for me as a City fan.

Good point, also loved when we said we are in a position now to turn players down if they try and rinse us.

Its as close to the club as many of our overseas supporters will ever get.And it will certainly attract many other new fans, like yourself. This is a marketing masterstroke.
I was already a fan of City for nearly a decade and was predisposed to enjoy this content.

Maybe it will help attract new fans.

Far, far more important for me is the style of football that City play - exciting, attacking, high scoring football - and our success - winning the P/L 3 times in recent years as well as League Cup and FA cup wins.

This is what attracts new-comers to route for City. Defense-first is boring.

Contrast this to the "genius" of Woodward - hiring a defense-first manager and then not backing him in the transfer market. ManU play boring, unwatchable football, aren't successful, and if you're an outsider, it's very hard to see why you'd ever want to route for ManU. Were Amazon to do a similar documentary about ManU, it would have no effect on prospective new viewership IMO.

New fans are attracted to winners, they like to associate themselves with glory, hence the term......The type of fans we are now attracting followed Liverpool in the 80's,the rags in the 90's and Chelsea since Abramovich - That's the reason.

After watching it all, I really don’t understand where Moaninho comes from, in regards to the class comment. Okay I am someone who has looked through blue tinted glasses for almost 50 years, but I think even someone who is a neutral, shouldn’t see anything derogatory in the contents.

The stupid twat made the comments, then admitted he hadn't watched it. Sums him up.
