All our shortcomings at once....

Merlin was abysmal and Sergio while he ran a bit was totally ineffective.

That's my point though. They are both, without a shadow of doubt, world class players and therefore shouldn't be looking so out of form. Sergio is suffering from playing alongside Dzeko when he should be on his own up top, and Merlin shouldn't be playing out wide.

OMG!! a diabolical performance from the "Defending Champions" I feel sorry for the fans that made the journey, the players should hang their heads in shame.. thats all...CTID

Lol - love you clowns coming on here. You may yet win the title this season, and on current form you will have deserved it. But I'm afraid that wont remove the pain of knowing that no matter what you do and however hard you try you will never, ever emulate our incredible title-winning triumph of last May.

The circumstances of our victory will hurt you forever. So take that thought and scuttle back under your raggy rock.

Very eloquent - just what I wanted to say. NOTHING will make up for last season as far as the rags are concerned. Just think how they must have felt all summer and it keeps being repeated every week on MOTD. We may have taken a small step back this season (although we could still do the FA cup) but don't worry - we'll take many strides forward over the next few years

Better still we are not going away and will be coming back much stronger next season and the season after that and the season after that

We were poor. It happens to every team in every league in every country in the world. An off day. A day when a couple of star performers play like shit. A day when another couple of star performers play, at best, average. A day when the rest of the team, apart from Zabs again, look like they couldn't be arse.

Oh well.

Roll on the Cup!

Oh dear. There are three possible results from any game of football. One of those options is 'lose'.

Maybe our spoilt fans have become far too used to not losing.

Judging by this and other threads so far.

Are you for real? The worst performance under Mancini and we're "spoilt"
Am I for real? Just read your post again. The worst performance under Mancini, so you say, would mean the past three years have been pretty special before today. Yes?

Therefore my original post stands. Some proper spoilt cry babies on here tonight.

The current League Champions were outplayed, for 90 minutes, against a team 3 points above relegation, and who hadn't beaten a team in the top 12 all season (I haven't checked that particular stat)

Cry babies my fucking arse. You carry on with your head up your arse, the rest of us in the real world expect more than a half-arsed attempt at retaining the Premier League Trophy.

That's the worst City performance for years, TITLE? We've got no chance! F***in So'ton, I'm genuinely embarrassed, something's deeply, deeply wrong. Look at this years signings - Rodwell, Sinclair, Garcia and we get rid of NDJ and Johnson - nah! I'm not having it - now Mario's gone, Yaya's good, but what use is he in Africa for the best part of 6 weeks?

An abysmal performance. Agree with the OP, but you missed Silva badly out of form and should not take anymore corners until he can get it past the first man. Milner should play from the start (I haven't heard he's injured) and the team should look to give the ball to him when he gets in those good positions wide.

We're looking like a mid-table team at the moment. If Mancini doesn't fire up their arses, I think we'll be lucky to get 3rd place, and 4th or worse is possible.

Still in shock at what I watched this evening, one of the worst 90 mins I've seen in a long time. Set me thinking though that nearly everything that is wrong or been a worry reared it's ugly head in that 90 mins.

Hart, looked ropey.
Lescott, piss poor.
Garcia, utterly woeful and painfully slow.
Barry, too slow.
Yaya, disinterested and shouldn't be playing from deep.
Nasri, disgrace to the blue shirt.
Dzeko, bar his goal utter shite.
Dzeko and Aguero doesn't work.
No pace.
No width.
Clueless substitutions.

Feel sorry for Merlin and Sergio as they deserve to have better players around them.

Sorry but Silva and Aguero have been pretty shit recently they can all fuck off for me after that shite

hate getting beat but not when 11 players cant be fucking arsed
