If this was a knockout round of the World Cup he would be sent off by now and we would be losing or hanging on for penalties.

Just like 2006 when the c*nt got us knocked out.

Just like 1998 when that other rag c*nt got us knocked out.

Wouldn't surprise me if Ferguson devoted several training sessions a week to 'twattish behaviour and petulance'

I'm not doubting Rooneys ability but he is a fucking liability.

Re: Wayne Rooney is a liability

Liability, hmm. He's a RISK but he's the only world class player in the England squad.

Re: Wayne Rooney is a liability

he does seem to be more wound up and confrontational when he plays for england seems to get frustrated rather easily

Re: Wayne Rooney is a liability

From today's performance he has demonstrated that he has not lost that stupid petulant streak.

I am being 100% totally serious when I say I don't think he is worth the risk in a knockout scenario like the 2006 Portugal game.

Yes he is world class, but in a knockout comp where referees are notoriously strict, I'd rather take someone like Defoe or Bent and that is NOT an exaggeration

what I'm basically saying is this:

90 mins of Defoe is better than 50 minutes of Rooney and having to play with 10 men in a high pressure game.

class, total class.

have to agree though about his temperment.

Didn't see the bulk of the first half but are you sure your aren't getting carried away with previous performances DN. Nothing in the second half apart from the curling shot to which you could add the word 'class'. I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of Algeria didn't centre their game plan about getting FatScouser sent off.

And can somebody else take the penalties.

Just waiting for the manager and players to give their fourpenn'orth. Bet they don't mention the word crap in their assessment. Difficult game, rain, slippy pitch - shit passing, no movement, shit technique, AND HESKEY.

Just heard FatFrank - 'difficult game'. My arse, yer shit Frank.
