ALL things Rooney PLEASE! [Merged]

The about turn on the part of the media is absolute proof of the pro-Rag bent in all of them. Rooney has turned from someone who is in poor form (just after the announcement of him leaving), to one of the worlds leading strikers (after signing new deal). If Wenger or Mancini had come out and slagged one of their own players as bacon face did, we would have had a queue of journalists telling everyone how differently Ferguson would have handled it. They are in fucking melt down, and giving Shrek more money is an archetypal example of papering over the cracks. I personally can't see any world class players signing for them. Not one genuinely world class player will sign for Ferguson, as they don't need all the shite that goes with it. The walls are crumbling around him. Can't wait for the Derby.

I reckon Bacon face concocted the whole thing with Rooney knowing full well that we've surpassed rag land quicker than they ever could have ever imagined and they're now desperate to add fresh impetus into their team before we leave them for dead.

Fergie could have easily walked if Rooney was allowed to go, so i my eyes Gill had no choice but to give in....Bluemoon is rising !!

According to a newspaper summary I just read, we have "pledged" to sign Shrek in the summer. Source: NOTW (yeah).

Ruud Gullit is surprised Wayne Rooney has stayed at Manchester United after his dig at his team-mates - News - MirrorFootball.co.uk

Ruud Gullit knows all about using player power to force a transfer.

After all, he did it himself to quit PSV Eindhoven to join the AC Milan in a world record transfer that made him a multi-millionaire.

That was back in 1987 when he cost Milan £6million. He joined a Milan bandwagon that was set to conquer Europe.

PSV remain the club owned and sponsored by Philips, the electrical giants.

At the time, and with the transfer battle raging at PSV, he described himself as “the whore of Philips and Eindhoven.”

He even claimed he was “nothing different to the club’s owners than a Philips iron!”

Of course, Gullit got his way. He moved to Italy.

So Gullit knows better than anyone what went through Wayne Rooney’s mind this week and has revealed his fears about Rooney’s current status in the United dressing room.

Gullit said: “All the pressure was on Rooney from the minute he said that his team-mates were *not good enough for him. Because that was his message.

“You don’t want, and can’t keep, a player who says such things about the club and the team.

“What happened next? He got injured in training and is out for a number of weeks.”

United initially said Rooney would be out for two to three weeks. It now appears the ankle injury sustained in training last Tuesday will keep him out until December.

Rooney did issue an apology to his colleagues after deciding to sign his new five year contract with United.

But the perspective of seeing an alternative club as bigger than United perplexes the former Chelsea and Newcastle manager.

Gullit explained: “Normally you change club if you want to find a better club for yourself as a top player.

“There is not only the finances to think about, but also the sporting ambitions and perspective.

“But how can you find a better and bigger club if you already play for the best and biggest club in the world?

“When you look at the list of clubs who can afford Wayne Rooney, then there are only three. Real Madrid, *Manchester City and *Chelsea.

“I think Wayne realised this at the last minute and decided to choose the safe haven of Old Trafford.”

Turning to the way United boss Ferguson handled the Rooney contract row, Gullit added: “I bet Alex Ferguson has had enough of agents by now.

“I don’t get the impression that *Rooney’s agent Paul Stretford has *impressed Ferguson with his *actions.

“Given the benefit of *hindsight, I’d say the fact that that Rooney made up with *United and stayed was a major surprise.

“In fact, that’s putting it mildly!

That right???? fooking december??

I was one of those blues who thought signing Shrek would be great fot a laugh, not because he's world class or anything - he's proved he's not, just as a piss-taking exercise. But after all the shenanigans I have totally changed my mind.

I like the fact that's he's dragged his scummy club through the mud. But he's also highlighted to the world that he is 100% vermin.
I NEVER EVER WANT TO SEE THIS CüNT IN A CITY SHIRT, EVER.

Did City put a bid in for tosser ?? if not shirly what a lot of the press are saying is libel.
Have the club actually said we bid??

Anyone else think December looks really dodgy, ready and back just in time for January transfer window with a full price due to a new contract.

If that is the case I hope everyone just goes, "nah, not interested" and the scum are left with a disruptive player.

Wayne Rooney’s new five-year deal with Manchester United is thought to include a break clause which would allow the prolific striker to leave for as little as £30 million if certain targets are not met by the Red Devils on a year-by-year basis.

As reported in The Sunday Telegraph, Rooney took legal advice regarding his break clause which would allow him to leave if the Glazers did not follow through with their promise of investing in the team.

The England striker, who signed his new contract on Friday, is thought to be on around £160,000 per week basic salary, which could reach as much as £200,000 with incentives. However, all parties have signed a confidentiality agreement meaning the full details of the contract will never be made public.

Although break clauses may be new to British football, they are common practice in Spain and are generally related to the total wages the player will earn over the duration of his contract.

A break clause protects the club against a player who tries to force a cut-price deal. But they also give the player the freedom to move if his valuation is met.
