101 pages on Wayne Rooney on a Manchester city forum, something i thought (and hoped) id never see, embarrassed isnt the word, the worst thing about it is i can imagine hundreds of you were distraught when you woke up and heard the news, me i was delighted, my club doesn't want the likes of Wayne Rooney and most blues i go to games with strongly agree.

I signed up today as this has been my favourite city forum on the net for some time and i genuinely enjoy the discussions here and felt it was time to engage myself, but reading threads like these you have to wonder whether people like Pam and co care more about the destruction of the twats than what we're trying to build here, some people should lose the obsession and start concentrating on whats important, thats Manchester City football club, not United and not Wayne bloody Rooney.

Cheers BT

PURE QUALITY

If city have had anything to do with the rooney saga this week i''ll be delighted, the red shite £750 million in debt and growing being forced to pay an extra £160 grand per week ( alleged in papers ) means another 41.6 millionn over 5 years added onto that debt, provided thats before tax, otherwise more, mr cooke if you or whoever thought that one up i salute you. keep up the good work.

Re: PURE QUALITY

where they gonna get the money from to spend £80m extra on players... hang on they have said they have had money all along (a lie) and now another £80m, on top of the ronaldo money

so, they are gonna spend £160m now are they...

gerrard had the chance to join chelsea 5 years ago, he had the same issues with his club...

look at what he has won since and what he won have won had he had the balls to sign...

who cares, their crisis, their problems, we have not lost anything, we didnt go on record saying they want him, their divided dressing room and their dirty laundry out in front of everyone, we carry on onwards and upwards

ps... we all agree... tevez is better than rooney

Agreed, though I'm sure they tried to drag us into the media storm, with his agent telling collymore and anyone else that would listen that we had made contact.

If we didn't ever make contact then I hope we very quietly sue the shit out of said agent (and collymore).

Made me chuckle that as well mate, picked it up and read it in the barbers before. So when that daft rumour about yaya being on 220 grand a week was spouted in the rag tops it was "the end of football" but rooney rumoured to be on 250 grand a week and cue the media wankfest. "only a genius like sir whisky nose could have pulled this off" bollocks, special mention bust go to Holloway's piece and his "result for all of us in the game" crap, pull your tongue out of his arse you apple picking bumpkin. Is this the same Ian Holloway who was cursing players demanding stupid wages and being all about the money ycmiu. The double standards displayed by these feckin rag tops is becoming really laughable now, and launching onto another level.

P.s the pic of the nike store with "join city and your dead" scrawled onto that poster had me in stitches, because Iccle old city don't worry them. ;0)

This has been the funniest week since the takeover. The penny has finally dropped for even the most deluded rags that the City juggernaut is unstoppable and will crush them. Watching their players, fans, manager and owner tear each other apart like rabid dogs through sheer terror of City has been pure comedy gold. Events at the swamp this week have been like watching a particularly dysfunctional, dead-eyed, gap-toothed, smack-addled underclass family rowing on the Jeremy Kyle show

ESPNsoccernet understands that Wayne Rooney signed a new five-year contract after being informed that the Glazer family have pledged to give Sir Alex Ferguson a transfer fund of £100 million.
