This is why him and a player like Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney will never be alike. Throughout two games each, both have combined for a grand total of zero goals. However, one has looked the part of the best player in the world, while the other has done zilch to help his team win. Messi has done a phenomenal job making great runs, opening up lanes for his talented teammates, passing the ball, attracting attention, being a great leader and unselfish, etc (basically everything you can do without putting the ball in the back of the net). Rooney his done NOTHING.

This is pissing me off, even now, as a US fan.

Is it me or does anyone think that he is over rated, I mean in the usa game he didnt really get into the game untill the last 15minutes. and now against algeria he hasn't really done anything. I think as a nation we rely on him far to much. Dont get me wrong he is a good player for united but for country so far he just doesnt cut it for me not enough effort just looks lazy.
