7\10 from me. Love Talking Heads. Can't listen to them constantly but always put a smile on my face when I give them a listen.
It's perfectly fine for people who don't know how to dance to slag this record off. That's why when "Crosseyed & Painless" came on at a party when we were teenagers, those of us who did know how stole your girlfriends while you were sneaking doobies in the john. :)Just put this on as never really knowingly listened to them - absolutely no idea what I was supposed to be enjoying, kind of sounded like '80's Reggae-funk (is that even a mix that has been done before?).
Ended up skipping through the album to save my ears - not for me at all.
How the hell has this made its way into a top albums list?
2/10 and I'm being generous
Edit: Apologies @BlueHammer85 , whilst I responded to you, my rant wasn't aimed at you. You are doing sterling work as usual and created another interesting thread.......... ;-)
To be fair, your username suggests that you might not have exactly the most refined taste in music so it might figure that music of this standard goes somewhat over your head...Just put this on as never really knowingly listened to them - absolutely no idea what I was supposed to be enjoying, kind of sounded like '80's Reggae-funk (is that even a mix that has been done before?).
