Alternative RAWK zone

Sorry to ruin it for everyone, and I admire your contributions, but they are nought compared to the real thing. The following extract is lifted from the pre-match spiel on RAWK last night. Honestly it really is! I know you will think it's satire but it genuinely isn't.

"
“More” than Words"

On the surface, Barcelona and Liverpool have a great deal in common.

Both clubs and cities consider themselves different from the larger colonialized culture in which they inhabit. The phrase “we are not English, we are Scouse” could be just as easily replaced with the idea of not being Spanish, but Catalan.

Secondly, the passion for each club in their cultures, cities, and local areas drives the economy and social strata. Each market their brands as being more than a club or this means more. To some extent, these are just words used to indoctrinate. But, when you have lived in these cities, been in the choir singing the gospel of King Kenny or witnessing miracles by the savior Lionel Messi, all while praying to the bluegrauna/red and white kop soccer gods, it is hard to argue with "more". It does mean more and both of these two giants are more than clubs. "

I believe the saying is “ Self praise is no praise at all”

The Red Empire and the Spion Kop Republic, linked together in their cause and in their need, will defend to the death their native soil, aiding each other like good comrades to the utmost of their strength.
Even though smaller clubs of Europe and many old and famous teams have fallen or may fall into the grip of Barcelona and all the odious apparatus of Catalan rule, we shall not flag or fail.
We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in the fountains,
we shall fight on the Stanley Park and Anfield Road,
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our team, whatever the cost may be,
we shall fight them on the beaches,
we shall fight the Spanish hotel workers,
we shall fight in the strawberry fields and in the streets,
we shall fight in the hills;
we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this City or a large part of it were subjugated and starving (oh it is), then our fans beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the Scandinavian Supporters Clubs Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.”

Quite genuinely the most knowledgeable football fans in the world.

Although last nights defeat was hard to take I believe that good will conquer evil and in the end we will be valiant. Faith, trust and above all else, a spirit of togetherness will see us into the final. last night my son asked why I was crying and at first I did not know what to say, later I woke him and told him 'Son, those were tears for the angels, the Liverpool angels looking down on us and who we had let down but never fear, I knew then and I believe now that those angels will be with Mo, Verge and the boys next Tuesday night and we shall be exalted in the football heavens.

This, five times.

Sadly, you have been infected by the Dipper virus. I present a thread for whenever times are good and bad ;)

Feck Game of Thrones the other night, it was our glorious Red Men who fought until they dropped, no quarter given, none asked.

We have our own Jon Snow in Jurgen. Remember that.

His calling was always Anfield, to assemble the masses from afar.

From Egypt, they heard the clarion call. From Senegal. From the beaches of Brazil, to the tenements of Glasgow.

The likes of Shitty, Barcelona, United, Real Madrid and PSG?

An army of the dead, soulless. A meaningless existence and a desire to crush everything underfoot.

Except they can't and they won't.

They can throw as much on the pyre as they like. The gaffer is waiting you see. Next Tuesday, at our own glorious castle, he will have stood behind him a legion of 50,000 strong.

Let them come. Let them feel our wrath. Let them feel the spittle and contempt we have within our throats.

Let them have it.

Messi might fancy himself as the Night King, but there is plenty of dragon glass around our way.

From whence we came, LFC WILL again remind everybody who really are the true Kings...
