He was at New Mills FC a couple of weeks ago watching his brother play. He's proper down to Earth. He was sat in our local sunday league teams clubhouse on a random wednesday because his brothers were playing for the opposition team lol.
Fair play to the stewardsWell done to all involved, including the Brentford fans. Some fanbases wouldn’t tolerate an opposition player coming into the stands after a defeat, no matter the player’s intentions!
Great record for Big Dave Ewing scoring a goal and left at 3 years old. Beats Glyn Pardoe as youngest player ever;-)Just googled Dave Ewing, slightly before my time (born 1959, he left 1962), noticed in over 300 games he only scored one goal, was it a back header?
He scored plenty at the other end.Just googled Dave Ewing, slightly before my time (born 1959, he left 1962), noticed in over 300 games he only scored one goal, was it a back header?
I think it’s an equal record, 9 or 10 each. His record of own goals was put under pressure by Richard Dunne and I'm not sure who currently holds it. I suspect one of the own goals came from a back 'eader to Bert!
