Each to their own but that's incredibly harsh in my opinion. We already have Savio and Echeveria in the bag. There many more where they came from. With Alvarez it just feels like he has stalled and he doesn't really have a part of his game that stands out. Jesus had aggression and pace, with Alvarez its like a player with no pace just running around to make up the numbers in his post match heatmap analysis or something.
Average control, no passing range, no pace, a lack of killer instinct in front of goal, poor ball protection, I think he’s only strong point is his off the ball work but what's the point of that when you lack the pace, power or aggression to put the defender with the ball under pressure?
If he lacked all of the above mentioned he would be nowhere near this City team, He's played more minutes than any other player last season.
He started and came off the bench for Argentina World Cup campaign getting in ahead of Lautaro Martinez alot amongst other big names.
He plays for City and Argentina because he's a seriously good player. Let's be honest he starts for basically every other Premier League team other than City because we've Haaland up top.
No pace
No killer instinct
Average control
No passing range
Seems like you are describing Akinfenwa or some other lower league striker in that post. The lad is a World Cup winner, Treble Winner, Copa America Winner ect he's played his part in all the above.
