He’s for sure won it all but if the €90m figure inclusive of bonuses is correct then it’s not as bad. Not many clubs can afford that now, and obviously we wouldn’t want to sell him to a Prem rival. He’s worth more but only PSG can try and up that. Quite obvious we’re intent on selling to buy so this sale helps our rebuild.

Wouldn’t want him to leave but either of them would definitely soften the blow. However if we lose him for €60m expect either of these 2 to cost twice that amount.

Neither Bayern or Madrid would want to lose their respective player so they only leave for an extortionate amount this summer. All the more reason we shouldn’t allow Alvarez to leave below his market value.
