Bit of a random one this but seen it’s his birthday today so got me thinking about his brief time with us. I just remember being in awe of him playing every minute he was on the pitch he took me by total surprise with just how good he actually was.

Can’t believe the goal against Tottenham at home to make it 5-0 isn’t spoken about more as being one of the greatest goals ever in the premier league.

How do you remember him? And how do you think he’d fair as the striker in our current set up as I think he’d be unplayable.

One of the few examples of getting a player during their brief unexpectedly high peak. There’s been many players who have had one-off wonder seasons in the league, particularly strikers, the likes of Michu, zaki, Bony, mido and many others but it’s rarely with us, I think stevie Ireland was the last one before him.

Couldn’t have bought and sold him at a better time.

Cracking player till the shoulder injury and or off the field issues took their toll.

For 6 months he was a better player than Aguero and I thought we'd hit the jackpot. Got that shoulder injury (annoyingly im sure we were about 8-1 up on aggregate at the time) and came back 2% of the player and never recovered. Why, I don't know, but it was a travesty.

I recall him scoring against the dippers on Boxing Day. An enigma in blue.

Awesome for a few months, he and Aguero looked great together. Never the same after his shoulder injury which was caused by chasing something when there was no need. Great commitment though and a hero of the 2013-14 season

He was brilliant, and got the best out of Sergio too. Him and Sergio as a partnership worked perfectly

Then he got the shoulder injury and never seemed to recover

A uesful player but it was a disappointing end to his City career
