Alvaro Negredo - How do you remember him?

I don’t think he got a fair chance to be honest, we have seen a few like him, here today, gone tomorrow, whilst others hung around without convincing for years.

Like a beast pre-injury...then like a mouse. Fortunately we had Dzeko who stepped up when it counted and got those decisive goals to win us the title. Can't help thinking with Negredo there was more to it than the injury, because it was like chalk and cheese.

I was at West Ham when he did his shoulder. Rumour of he needed to move to pay off people in Spain. May be rubbish but you never know.

Remember a feint he did near the box pretending to go for the ball but was never going to & it fooled ALL of the defence leaving huge gap for City player to score simple goal. TV kept showing it trying to make it look like a fluke - was deffo not.

You can catch a fleeting glance of it here but it doesn’t do it justice. A thing of beauty.

Watching him tonight for Cadiz. Scored from the spot. Strange that Pellegrini is manager of Betis against whom he scored. Still a beast even now but a slow one at best.

Yeah I also heard that he had been feeling the heat and not only from Spain. Something more close, in fact, and it all impacted on his play after the shoulder injury. When he was playing well he truly was a beast. One of the best, on his day.

I agree. He was brilliant and it stopped. I think we were 9 nil up when he fell. Tragic.

I heard, from a very good source, that it was something to do with a horse with no name.
I was in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote, that night, watching it in a bar with my daughter. 2 West Ham fans, on seeing my City polo shirt, asked me the score, so I told them "3-0 on the night, 9-0 on aggregate, and they've been lucky to get the Nil!"
They didn't stop.

he was only here half a season. Not sure why people are eulogising him? Good partnership with Aguero and enjoyed watching him play but let's not go overboard.
