Only 2 seasons in professional football where he has double figures in the league, half his seasons disrupted with injury, dodgy knee, inflated transfer fee...whats not to like?

Seriously though, massive MASSIVE gamble, more so than any other signing that Mark hughes has made, and I don't care how well he thinks he knows him!

I like him, just a bit annoyed that he didn't sign at the start of last summer when he had the chance before we had our money and he decided to sign a new contract with Rovers instead (presumably because he didn't fancy our chances) which has made us pay more for him now. Not my money though so i have no need to worry about that i suppose.

I think he will prove to be a good signing, my only concern is who's gonna put the ball on his head? Remember to two goals he scored at COMS last season? Quality crosses into the box and he got in front of the defence and buried the headers.

Elano - probably won't play week in week out
SWP - not great at crossing the ball
Rob - not likely to 'cross' the ball
Petrov - great crossing ability but probably won't play much
Barry and SI = won't be bombing up and down the wing to enable crosses

Any thoughts??

No I like him too.

hes a good player but i have a feeling he will be like bellamy for us, a few games then bang! hes out for a month.

if we can get him totally over his knee problems then he COULD be one of the best prem strikers.

any news on his medical or anything else?
