Am I the only one that LIKES Santa cruz???

We need a target man.

Santa Cruz is a target man.

Good signing. I predict 12 league goals if he stays fit.

I think he is a good addition to the squad and subject to fitness will score a few goals for us next season

20+ goals in his first season in a poor team, i think if he stays fit, he will be a crackin' signing for us, he gives us something different to what we have at the moment

Don't act brave on a nameless, faceless message board. I actually don't think RSC is that bad, not a top 4 player but he's ok, was just having a joke babe

Oh right I didnt get the punch line must have missed it and as for acting brave I tell you as it is and would do the same to ya face

Do you always say "ya" or is that just when you are "talkin tuff"?! Just to clarify, I don't want us to sign Savage, just like i'm sure you know Barry Conlon doesn't have a wig. I see what you did though, he's bald isn't he, well done, funny.

He's a top top player, just what we were needing all last season. Let's just hope those knees hold up.

Agree entirely with this; he was great with Blackburn under Hughes. Who, btw, contrary to the myth assiduously peddled by some on here, DID play good football; when they played it tough and tight, it was against the top 4, where to play football would mean getting destroyed; that's why the French Prof, old Baconface, José and the Spanish Waiter went on and on about Blackburn being a rough-house side; as if they don't act physical themselves! Or against those sides like Bolton/pie-eaters away where you have to be tough BEFORE you can play the football. It's an aspect of the game we have to learn, especially away from home; RSC will help, at both ends of the pitch.

Look out for quality in the box from him, offensively and defensively AND a refusal to be bullied. We've needed this touch of steel with quality for many years; no City side has had it since Tony Book's great team of the late 70's, imo.

I like him, his record in his first season in the premiership was fantastic. And although 18 million is a lot:
a) It's peanuts to us,
b) I trust Hughes. He's the only one who has worked with him day in day out and he obviously knows that he's amazing and worth the money,
