I was asked this girl for a shag and she said no, the exact same thing happened 4 times that week, different, bars different girls. You couldn't make it up.

Must have been the same girls who were turning me down.

What are the chances of that?

Not really a coincidence but I'm on a roll now......

Way back in '73 I lost my wallet with a weeks wages in it....£20.....naturally I was gutted,... of course this was in the pre-internet/mobile phone days......all I knew was I must have dropped it in the Manchester area as I had not been anywhere else, and I was a van driver at the time, travelling all over the place...

Anyhow, I hit on the idea of getting the phone book out and ringing every single police station in the Manchester area...(about forty of them, in alphabetical order to see on the off chance anyone had handed it in), (fat chance I know)..

So, I was about to start with "A", when for some reason I decided to work backwards and rang Wythenshawe, expecting this to be a long job.

Within a few seconds the policeman said "Well we have had one handed in this morning, can you describe it?".......Sure enough it was mine...apparently I had dropped it on the floor in Cheadle, and this old guy from Wythenshawe found it, and handed it in to his local station when he got home, money intact........

I lived in Denton at the time, so I drove over to the cop shop, found out who the man was, called round to the blokes house and offered him a fiver for being so honest, which he refused to take.

Are all Wythenshawe folk so honest?........:-))

The twats that nicked my van and parked it next to the police station near Portway aren't

Went to a small town in Ireland back in 2010, to do a bit of family history. I knew the names of my two ancestors who had been born and married there and who eventually settled in Manchester but that was it really.
We headed off to the local church and graveyard to see if we could find any clues to their family and there were three men tending the graveyard

One introduced himself with the exact same name as the ancestor I was searching. We hadn't said anything up until then to suggest anything other than a family history interest.

It was the most surreal thing I have ever experienced but can probably be explained by the fact that,on further investigation, the whole graveyard was full of the same family surname and he just happened to have both the same first name and surname and his family had stayed whilst ours had moved on. Albeit 150 years apart ;-)

Remembered one.

Was in Blackpool once and I commented to my girlfriend how alike to my sister the girl walking in front of us was.

You can guess who we bumped into a few minutes later. I had no idea she was there either.

I'm after seeing about 3 separate pro-cat threads on the same forum in one day, coincidence?
