Amazon prime

I heard somewhere that the AWS arm of the business basically means they can do whatever they want in terms of spend on content and sports etc.
Exactly this, AWS is basically a license to print cash for them. The profit margin is huge. It is why they can do food at a loss and if needs be the football. AWS makes enough to prop up all their other business avenues. Their investors also have no desire for quick profits, they understand the long term strategy of Amazon and are perfectly happy with how it is all going so no pressure from that either. In 10 years time Amazon food will be profitable along with any other current loss making ventures they have. The idea some have that Amazon will fail is imo well wide of the mark. They will get stronger and stronger.

This is mostly right. AWS is an extraordinary business, but Amazon's real competitive advantage in my view is how they've conditioned the market not to expect profits. When you can reinvest 100% of whatever revenue you retain while everyone else has to actually make a profit (and deliver it to investors) it's basically uncompetitive over the long term.

That is the point even the likes of Hinchcliffe and Niall Quinn are viewed as biased against us. Sometimes I think you have to accept, and not aimed at you here, people will express or think differently to you and it wont be because a commentators bias.

Last week amazon prime was the best thing since slice bread as we had played well and got lauded this week, we lost, and its back to being biased. Some shift in two weeks.

Fine to have this opinion but the bolded bit is wrong, people were saying this before the match got underway and highlighting the difference between the first amazon match and then this one.

The first week they were complimentary in the build up to the game something sky/BT seem to shy away from but last night it really was like they have been told to conform but then it will look that way if you use people that have been used by the other TV companies, I mean WTF is Owen doing anywhere near our game? Or any game for that matter the monotone twat, Harry fucking Redknapp brought out of his brown envelope for an airing and then Beglin another scouse twat who was willing Wolves on with all he had to give.

Amazon are just dipping their toe into the market and last night was their last game of the season. They can hardly rustle up a brand new set of commentators and pundits for just two rounds of games so we would have to see how they do if they got a serious package of games in the next round of bidding in a couple of years.

What you can say is that what they have done so far shows that a streaming only option is viable and maybe it has signalled the end of football being delivered by Sky. Maybe dishes will go the way of CDs & DVDs?

All I want from Amazon is no delay on the stream.I don't want a goal alert or mates texting me before I have seen what's going on in a product I am paying for . Unbiased and knowledgeable presenters/commentators is a must , I understand that for two rounds of games it would be expensive and difficult not to use the ones that are about right now and I except that , but if Amazon want to be serious players in this game then they have to offer us all something different to the BT/Sky way of showing football that has reached it's sale by date . That's all I want Amazon .

The only benefit of Amazon Prime is the option to mute the commentator and listen to the stadium instead. I took great delight in muting that wittering bastard John Champion last night, shame the same option doesn't exist with Sky or BT. Games would be a lot more enjoyable without having to put up with 'Carra', 'Macca' or whichever other Scouser happens to be doing the commentary.

@TCIB

Any solution to the issue you highlighted earlier with this??

Can you remove the need for buffering?
The only things that can possibly help is firstly simply rebooting your router and device. Use an ethernet cable to the device you are using if possible or move it in direct line of sight with the router.
Beyond that you are at the mercy of your local internet exchange situation. If your isp has oversold the exchange you are a bit stuck. If this happens continuously at peak times i would call your isp to complain, they may be able to tweak the power levels on your broadband channels which can help.

If all of that fails you have one option, move to a different provider.

Sadly the delay you encounter is on Amazons side, there is little you can do about that i am sorry to say.

my stream on my smart tv was horrific and it has an ethernet cable to connect them.so I tried it on my pc via wifi and it was perfect so ive no fucking idea whats up.its a new Panasonic smart tv with the amazon app updated, when I watched all or nothing it was perfect so is live sport always going to be a problem if so then im out.

I watched on a Sony Bravia smart TV with the app on the TV it was perfect , great picture and sound but about 90 seconds behind "real" time .
