America Bombs Venezuela

Is the old Monroe Doctrine still a thing in the United States ?
I recall them turfing Noriega out of Panama and before that invading Grenada. They really do see the Americas as their “back yard”.
TBF the circumstances with Panama are not quite that different than these. However, an American serviceman killed by a mob was a catalyst, and obviously concerns about control of the canal were paramount. Ironically it was Seymour Hersh (who many on the right hate) who broke the story about Noriega’s drug escapades.

Maduro has killed thousands of his own people and is a genuine scumbag. The US has actually done something about it, while others engage in weasel words and worthless hand wringing.

Unfortunately the lefties cant bring themselves to welcome it.
This has absolutely nothing to do with Maduro being a dictator. This is Trump going on a power trip and America trying to take control Venezuela's natural resources.

This is also America testing the waters to see how other nations react to them literally taking over another nation as Trump's ultimate goal is Greenland

Your juvenile lefty, anti-US views prevent you from celebrating the end of a murdering dictator like Maduro.

And you accuse others of having simplistic views. Genuinely amusing.
I presume by your reply that you honestly believe Trump and his greedy band of brigands only invaded and captured Maduro because he was a dictator.
Not for the oil orange Donald has already stated is Americas and was stolen from them.

There are dictators and evil regimes throughout the world, will he kidnap them as well ?

Or don't they have oil ?

Ban American cars
Ban McDonald's/ burger king/Wendy's
Ban American owned football clubs
Ban American attempt at whisky (berbon)
Ban American soft drinks
Ban travelling to American

I could be here all day lol
For the health of the World population , items 2 & 5 should have been applied long long ago.

Yeah, the US is one of them

Their hatred of Trump overrides everything.
Perhaps they hate him because he is a threat to all countries in the world, Russia and China aside.
He has talked about using force to take Greenland. He believes Canada should be ruled by America. He is openly destabilising Europe and talking about removing the elected leader of London, (because hes a muslim ?) They are supposedly his allies, I haven't mentioned his enemy, Iran or the Palestinians. If he can openly threaten his friends they have no chance.

Its amazing how Iraq (and it's "WMDs"), Libya, Afghanistan, and now Venezuela were all an existential threat to poor old US and it's European lackeys, and they simply had to unleash war and untold miseries on tens of millions of civilians.

But NATO, expands all the way across Europe to Russia's borders, with the prospect of ballistic missiles and extensive hostile forces right next to it, and it's all hunky dory, Russia should have just accepted it and gone for peace.
You forgot to mention that quite a few new NATO members joined because of Putin's aggression against Ukraine. Self inflicted paranoia on Putin's part.

We are going off topic but the CIA and their abuse of power in the Iran Contra affair were quite happy with Noriega. If only he'd stayed a puppet he might still be in charge.
