American City Fans

I spend quite a bit of time in San Diego due to work and although it's usually in the summertime with no football, it would be good if there were city fans to talk to and go for a beer with. The offices are filled with wanabee soccer fans who think they have to support the European giants, Juve are quite popular, and the usual bunch (you know who I mean) and I just can't discuss football with them.

Especially this pre-season as we will get on the radar of these Americans.

I'm not american ... and i don't post here much .. even though i do waste like 1 hour almost everyday over here reading all the nonsense:D

nyway i will be in california, berkeley from february to september this year .. if any other city fans would like 2 grab a drink and watch the game @ some pub .. i would be mightily pleased :D

I would love it. I'll be in Berkeley from about a week from now, at uni, but will be gone end of Jan/beginning of Feb. Will be in England (and at City-Newcastle). After that, would love to meet for a pint.

I met the first true city supporter that I've met here in the states about two weeks ago. I was at the gym, and this guy comes up to me and just shakes my hand. I thought it was weird, couldn't hear what he was saying cos I had my headphones on. Then I realize he had City shorts on (I had a city shirt on). Was brilliant. He was a MH fan though :(

Also, this is my first post. I'm and American Blue from Los Angeles originally, been a supporter for about six years now.

I used to live in CO,

i found the best way was to convert! it doesnt work with the hicks, or older locals, but i managed to convert a few of the college kids to football, the premier league at least. and one girl into a blue! or as much as she can be, she checks the results and watches when she can. But i think thats more down to my influential good looks than our team ; )

My cousin lives in San Diego (Encinitas) and is a big Blue. Let me know when you will be there and I'll put you in touch.

i have a mate who lives in Delaware and i managed to persuade him and his son to become a blue , he is still in Delaware and watches for the results(not as much as the Eagles thou) his son is in Washington and plays for the Nationals HE has had a shirt from 1998 and still supports us

I'm in Austin, TX and and can usually be found down at Fadó on match days when City are on TV. Otherwise, I am glued to a PC somewhere trying to stream it. If anyone in Austin wants to meet up for a pint that would be great!

I am not sure there are enough of us to make an American City supporters club; possibly many regional ones, but still not sure how that would work out. Like was said above, it may be possible in a few years when City are a household name!
